So....which classes?

in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning

I was wondering what "each person" thinks will be the best/most popular class in the game.

I know WAR made all the classes even but im sure u have an opinion about it. I for instance I think that Squig Herder would be the best(b/c its my favorite) and its also unique so it might attract gamers.

So what do u think?(this is all based on opinion and not facts)

    I'm not sure what class will be the most popular, but im gonna play a warrior priest or a shaman i haven't decided which side i want to play

    You're going to see a veritable ocean of players playing as Witch Hunters. Count on it.

    I also think Witch Hunters will be widely popular. Other than that Chaos seems very hot right now.

    I think the Chaos Chosen will be pretty popular, but the most popular will probably be Witch Hunters because they look cool and very iconic in a action hero style AND they are the "good guys".



    I like the Marauder most for now. The mutation stuff is pretty cool and I like offensive tanks. - They chop things to pieces, they drink beer and they brag. They're dead good. Marauders rock!

    All I know. CHAOS for the win! I'll more likely to pick a caster or ranger. I cant wait. :D

    It will be one of the elven classes I bet. It's always the freaking elves.

    Fortunately WAR has elves on BOTH sides, so there won't be much problems of balance as long as there is an equivalent classes for High and Dark Elves to satisfy player's love of pointy ears :)

    I think that a lot of players are going to play towards what they were in previous titles.  If a lot of people come from WoW, expect many to try Squig Herders.  Anything that screams pet class is going to be favorable for people who want to solo.  This will be especially true for those who played Hunters previously.



    Personally I am going to lean towards a healing class.  I have a priest in WoW and love it.  Also, because of my favor for bad guys I am probably going to be chaos. 



    I will never play an elf.

    well from the vast amount of people who love elves on other MMOs... and a large amount of warhammer players like chaos.... im just seeing pointy ears and vile corrpution everywhere and i mean "everywhere"... man we should collect mops and cleaner ahead of time its going to be a mess.

    Based on the classes we know of, I think the top 3 will be:



    1.) Witch Hunter

    2.) Squig Herder

    3.) Marauder or Chosen



    Everyone wants to be the badass in the hat...except me. I will probably be a Knight of the Blazing Sun.

    Of all the MMOs  I've played I've never rolled a healer.  So this time a healer type will be my very first character.  Not sure what race yet tho.

    When I first heard of the game I thought 'oh, well clearly I shall play a warrior priest,' because I like the fanatics. And then I saw the Witch Hunter.



    I thought that the Chaos marauder (the one with the mutations?) would be popular because of the mutations, but then I thought alot of people don't seem to want an 'ugly' avatar so maybe not. I'm pretty happy about having a grotesque looking class, though.



    I also think the sorcerer of chaos that rides the disk of Tzeentch will be popular because, damn, that's cool.

    Well i use to play a Minstrel(DAOC), Troubador(EQ2), and a 60 Pally(WoW)

    You can only guess what type of classes i like to play  i was wondering if anyone knows of a class in WAR that will be close to ne of these previous classes i have played....

    for me its either Dark Elf Caster or the Chaos caster.


    Although I have to say that squig herders look really fun.

    I don't care how cool or fun all the classes turn out to be, in the end DPS classes will be the most popular.  Witch Hunters, Choppas, Hammerers, and Maruaders.  The real question is, which race will be the most popular?

    A dark elf... cause the are hawt (yes i kn no one has seen them yet... but tiny pieces of leather with tiny pieces of mail in between? yes please :)



    that and a squig herder... cause you get to poke squigs wif a big pointy stick, and there is no way that cant be fun.

    Playing a Dwarf Paladin in WoW atm so im definetly not going to be a healer....



    My favourite classes from first impressions are probably



    1) Witch Hunter



    2) Squig Herder



    3) Chosen

    I believe from the current information we have, that the following will be the most popular:

    1) Witch Hunter

    2) Magus

    3) War Priest

    They are all Iconic and pretty much symbolize the game, but that could shift very easily once more information is available...

     

    What I will be playing first is:



    WAR PRIEST!

    I intend to make as many characters as the game will allow at launch and play them all for a few days before i decided.  My past mistake in MMO's was to devote to much time and energy to the first class that caught my eye.  This time im going to test drive as many as i can until i find the right fit.

    The witch hunters concept art predates Van Helsing.

    Witch hunters have always been portrayed as shady characters with wide hats and trench coats, as well as pistols, rifles, swords, handheld crossbows and so on as arms.

    Witch hunters are an sort of elite soldiers, who cleanse out the stronger parts of Chaos infections. Flaglant and Zealots are "The common" soldier.
