As far as paying once for a game most mmorpgs currently don't do that but archlord does from what I see and LOTR will have a like 200 $ one-time life fee if you choose.

Blue = Pay to buy game up front
Green = Monthly Bill
Look for ones with only blue, or nither.
What color do you use for games that pretend to be free but aren't because of item shops and advantages being sold directly by the developer? Of course no one ever admits to paying for those things yet those games somehow continue to make money.
OP you should focus more on choosing a game that is quality, not cheap. You get what you pay for.
