in Lord of the Rings Online
Any one wanting to test this game until it goes gold(not stress test)can acquire a full beta key at 12pm today GMT time UK.CVG are giving away 10.000 lotr proper beta keys today-Saturday- as it was meant to be yesterday but it was put back till today.



I seriously advise anyone to log on to CVG early and keep spamming link for keys as the site was seriously slow last friday when i got my key.I am lvl 17 Hunter now as they slowed the xp down so its lower than WOW and faster than Vanguard(alot faster).



All i can say is its a very enjoyable mmorpg and although i am waiting for WAR this will do nicely but then again i am in TCOS (the chronicles of spellborn) beta so i will be spoilt for choice once it starts later this month hehe.



Ps Dont forget to register first.

    I haven't actually been to that site before. What's involved in actually getting in the queue? I registered there and logged in, but I have no idea where to go for the actual contest. There are about a dozen links for the game, and none of them actually seem to lead to anything other than news articles or forums. I didn't see any instructions there, either. <places the newb hat firmly on head> (I swear, I looked around for an FAQ. Really, I did!)

    EDIT: Actually, if I couldn't figure out how to get the darned key, I'm probably not a good candidate for testing the game anyway.



    EDIT2: Ahah. Nevermind, rescued by Google. If their cache is any indication, it seems that they post a new news article when the keys are ready, and then you click a link in it and hope for the best? <nod> I think I'll wear the newb hat a little longer, though. I don't think I'm done with it yet.

    Greetngs..Ok first off are you european because its the euro client and WILL NOT WORK FOR USA.If you are euro then go to main page and look at the top and you will see a box that says Lord Of The Rings Online Phase 4 Europeanys Givaway.At 12pm today click on that and follow intructions.



    This is the 4th week running they have done it,last week was just  1000 this week is the biggy.I sugest you use the STYBAA server as its nice and low numbers anyway there is only two to chose from.



    If i was you i would download client now..

    Thanks much for the clarification. I'm in North America, unfortunately, so it looks like I'm out of luck. I appreciate the heads-up, though. (Good luck to those in Europe!)

    Ok but i cant see why there would`nt be a simlar option in the US so might be worth a google.

    For those who are not in Europe this months Computer and Gaming Magazine has closed beta keys in them, also on April 06 they will be starting the public open beta

    I miss DAoC
