when will someone make an army MMO?

Why doesnt someone make a really good  military mmo  in a vast persistant world with a world war  and  zones set in different climates?

you could have outposts that change hands(which changes the NPC spawn faction)

I allways thought it would be cool if  there were battle lines  that players could move based upon the quests they proformed

I would have players do missions  some for  points to buy access to larger weapon systems.

example  a player  does supply runs to the front line supply base in a 5 ton truck   or jeep or later on  an APC or even helo

this gives them points to spend for such things as access to artillery mortars  helos  tanks  ect

a world like this would allow a player to have a military life  from basic training on to sargent to field comander

since this is a world war  probably over resources and land  any nationality could be involved and be in one of several factions

like a red team  a blue team  and a militia or rebel team

there would be plenty of room for crafters medics gear makers    vehicle makers ammo makers

make a world, not a game, we dont want another game.

They rather make regular WWII FPS, less content to add.

Ever try WWII Online? It came out a few years ago, but wasn't terribly popular.

Yes, try WWII online (information can be found on this site).

I only played the trial, but it was not because it was a bad game, but because of a bit of lag in what I enjoy the most, flying. But if you can stay on the ground (or have a really good system), it is certainly fun. It is persistence, meaning that the war continue over a long periode of time, where each army tries to conquer different towns of Europe (which BTW is huge in the game).

    Have fun.

By the time the MMO comes out you could have joined the military for 4 years, and then have been bored with a Present Day Military MMO.

Just sign up and go to Iraq. It's a lot more realistic. Good graphics too.

Well actually myself and a group I design with have already started designing one.  We already have put in about a year of work and are mainly just finalizing the content part of the game i.e. the quests.  We shouldnt have too much longer till we are finished then all that will have left is the hard part.  Finding a company ot pick it up and run with it.  So hopefully in the not so far future well be able to put one out for yalls enjoyment.
