Alright ive stayed up all night last night just watching videos and podcasts looking at every screenshot i could get my curious little eyes on and ive played World Of Warcraft ever since it came out and im being a little skeptic. but to the point.
I seriously the next day went to school telling all my WoW buddies that WAR is gonna totally smoke WoW outta the water and alot of people are gonna switch to it once it comes out. the only thing im worried about when switching in basicly the graphics on the terrian and everything else. its probably im used to WoW graphics but do you think there gonna add more "life" to it? They probably will add more grass and what not to it and i know if they add too much to it a computer that isnt build for alot of memory is just gonna run so slow and they're gonna have to upgrade every little thing in your computer to get it to work right.
And then theres the battle system. I've basicly watched the battling scenes and people totally crushing each other i mean its sweet to see someone get that last blow and watch their enemy fall to doom but it doesnt look like theres alot of action while they're sitting there one on one just swinging at each other there needs to be a little more umph to it. I just watched the Zealot movie for the new newsletter and it seems now they're making it so theres different attack swings. i think thats bloody Brilliant i mean cmon who wants to see the same swing over and over again eh?!

The graphcis and adding "more life to it": Of course, its barely through beta 1. I think the graphics look pretty cool for the angle they are aiming at. If it was 2 graphics heavy it would never work as a good PvP game cause in areas were there are huge battles 500+ people, there would be too much lag both server and client side. (Not to mention they don't want to alienate anyone, this being the first good PvP game in years they are hoping on subscriptions and lots of em. If the graphics were too in depth people with weaker rigs + large scale pvp = suicide)
No offense, but you seem to be missing the entire concept of WAR then and really don't have a grasp on MMO/Technology/Game Mechanics.
If youu want "good graphics" I suggest you play AOC or Granado Espada.

Firstly, I'd suggest doing a little research, as in doing so you would soon realize your concerns are not warranted.
Secondly, I'd suggest not doing that research solely on this site since you will rarely get a worthwhile, factual answer.
Thirdly I hope this thread does not end up like the 300 other WAR vs WoW threads because, honestly, I'm tired of the debate.

Jesus christ why eevn start this thread if u gona start hating on wow? My advice go back to school and go whine some more, ask you m8s at lunch to to give u some cheese with that whine.
I wasnt hating on wow i just let everyone know ima former Wow player that is interested in WAR and needs some opinions.

That said, those who have played the game have had almost 100% positive feedback saying that the game only has minor glitches, that it's crips and lifelike. That the animations are top-notch. I don't think you'll have to worry about life in the game in terms of flora/fauna, and I definitely don't think killing people in PvP combat from beginning to end game is going to get boring very fast. Unless you completely ignore that part of the game.

WAR is looking great thats for sure.
I liked WoW's visual style and art design, two concepts that trump "graphics" any day. If you want an example of this, try to snag a Buddy Key for Vanguard. Great graphics, very bland visual style, and zero art design.
WAR has a "similar" visual style to WoW, but grittier (darker) and with a little more graphical power behind it. Two thumbs up on that. I'm still waiting to decide on the art design, though. While some of the footage we've already seen is very detailed, we can still see some bland textures here and there. Especially on the ground and rocky objects. There's a great video of the devs running a Goblin around the Greenskin starter area. Most of the textures are fine, but if you look at the ground it looks very... I don't even know how to describe it, it just doesn't look as good as the objects around it.
But I realize that the shots are pre-beta, so I'm actually very optimistic. I look forward to the end product.
Gameplay-wise, WAR has a chance to be more exciting than WoW. Particularly in the endgame. WoW's endgame is nothing but an endless grind that never means anything other than to your own character (new gear). WAR has a detailed RvR system that involves taking territory from other players. What happens in this PvP MATTERS. You can run Arathi Basin a thousand times, but nothing changes. But in WAR, there will be three separate tug-of-war matches going on in order to take over opposing cities.

I know your feeling as I had said beforehand on different character name some year ago that Horizon will fail miserably. The reason why I didnt purchase DaoC is because Mystic did not sent any beta invitation which however I do not care. Even thought I never played DaoC but I can taste it almost like a physic!. yea yea it already sucks now but it was ok in EQ times.
Mystic need go get out more and take a deap breath as well as not to be LIKE a jaelousy guard programmers.
WoW is marvalous, top of the range playabilities let down by lastabilities - what a shame. Blizzard left and form Flagship studio developing Hellgate which look cool in FPS Multiplayers. No I did not purchase TBC since I am not that stupid with hypes.
Mystic you was a hardcore pedigree?. Hope you invited the right person who is willing to give it a shot before official gold release because frankly I dont care if I'm not invited. But hear this..

2: lrn2english If your going to tell someone to learn to speak English, even in jest, you need to learn how to spell in said language.
1) English is probably one of the most difficult languages to speak.
2) THE hardest language to actually write is English. A lot of people won't even try to write in English due to the stigma one gets if one does not conform to others standards of speaking well.
3) Unless Mr. Lrn2english can fluently speak AND write in another language specifically one that does not use Arabic numerals and the standard alphabet he needs to keep (in my opinion) his ignorance to himself.
4) I don't give a rodent's buttocks if you were just joking, it was still ignorant especially when the writer of said post obviously knew his English was not fluent and still made himself comprehensible and put himself and his opinions in a open forum despite the derision his language skills and comments might inspire.
5) Would you Apocryphus have the same guts to do the same thing if you had to do so in another language? If not keep your opinions about others abilities to yourself, even in jest.
6) If you or any others who have taken issue with this persons communication skills, have an issue with me taking an issue with your post ,please feel more than free to send me an email. I would be MORE than happy to provide you with my personal phone number and grade your use of the English language. I use to teach English Literature at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (as a teaching assistant while I was getting my technical education degree), so please go ahead, and if my personal opinion is not good enough I can easily get several professors for the University of Maryland Collage Park, to sit in on said call and tell you exactly what THEY think of YOUR language skills.
You may even feel free to reverse the charges. I have no problem with that at all. I am quite willing to bare the expense to show ignorant persons just how ignorant they truly are. I feel its my duty.

People who ridicule other persons for their opinion is one thing, your on the interweb (yes i know its internet), and once you make your opinion known, its open for ridicule and derision.

That is all. I am humbled. I have the temerity to get ONE contraction in a long post wrong. I should be shot and hanged in front of little children!!
( The last two lines were meant to be more casual to get my point across, the structure was not meant to be perfect. Otherwise i would not have used the words: Pisses, interweb or yours.
(Do not worry about the 'children' , I taught, they were all 18 or over and if a simple misuse of a contraction was my only major error, then I do not think the 'children of tomorrow' have all that much to worry about. )
