I think that you can play with it in normal PvE and small RvR, but larger RvR battles and raids will be a bit tougher to handle (havent had any experience with it, just a speculation).

There are plenty of people who play DAoC on dialup and have no problem at all.  Your PC is normaly the bottle neck not the connection.

    One of my friends didn't have a hub...so when we'd "LAN"...I'd hafta use dial-up...it wasn't that bad...and I was on a PoS 16mb video card 256mb laptop...too lazy to pack up the desky =

Hunting's perfectly fine, actually, I noticed no difference at all when I used to use my laptop to play at school on a T1 connection...Like BlueOne stated...it's da' pc...though a faster connection won't hurt...^^

I play on a dial-up with absolutely no problems.  Size of RvR battle going on doesn't really matter.  It hasn't *cost* me my life that I'm aware of.

There *is* an ever-slightly longer delay when I go to cast a spell, or enter combat mode.  But the only reason I even *noticed* this was I played on my cousin's DSL a couple times.

I use dial up and it's bloody horrible. I go Link Dead alot, usually at key times when i'm fighting something. Normally i can't even get into the game
