One reason I am here on the forums and not playing my favorite game IS .....drum roll pls
BECAUSE...I have 3 kids I need to take care of...and at times...I can not play Sooooooo....untill I can sit downa down get some quality play time...I come here to play with people that like to use BIG ORANGE LETTERS to try get their lame ass points accross.
I can sit down..read a few posts..respond and still be able to get up and change a diaper ( not my own tyvm )..fix breakfast or do whatever else I need to do to provide for my family. I would LOVE to be able to log in and play..but that sucks when you have to go afk every 5 min. Those with kids know what I mean.

Vanguard seems to host enough of what I like... although I do hope there is enough solo material (apart from crafting and diplomacy, although I'll make sure to try thoses) since I'm a solo 60%/group40% player. I'm especially looking forward to explore that big world. And my comp shouldn't have spec problems ^^.

There is tons of solo content . I can testify personal to lv 19 as a Paladin. The healer type schools have a more forgiving aspect to them though I know lots of caster types that have soloed over 80% of the way through lv 30 ish area and still soloing.
There is big misconception that this is a hardcore raid type game. This is not true. The game breaks down like this
10% raid
30% small group general play
60% solo content
Thats just from an adventuring standpoint.
People playing Vanguard looking for raid content are many of those that come here slamming the game as a lousy game. It is a really small part of the Vanguard world. Being that the world is sooooo massive...even 10% of the play..is still..ALOT of play..with 2-3 dungeon crawl raid type content for each 5 level bracket range...on EACH continent !!
Considert too the diplomacy, crafting , and harvesting play.

Honestly I like to play Vanguard when I have time to group, I really think that's the point of MMORPGs.
The reason I am posting on the forums, it not because I don't like the game or it crashes, or whatever crappy reason haters of Vanguard (who probably didn't even play the game out of beta) can come up with. It's because the time it takes me to make a post is alot, alot (I mean by about two hours) shorter than it would be to make a group and quest for a night. It's too bad people's misconceptions of time comprehention is so skewed. So much so to think that people spend hours making one post.
Or maybe illiteracy is more rampant than I once thought.
-usually you can "pause" what your doing quite quickly
-the "rules" are usually different than group "rules" (going solo too adds variety)
-occasion to do some tourism, explore the world
-occasion to test some stuff without risquing to send a whole team to hell
I see mmorpgs as a huge market full of busy people , aiming for different objectives, some in groups, some solo, some in huge groups, all trying to better understand the rules of theyr world, how to earn money, some seeking revenge, etc etc.
I wouldn't care much for a mmorpg where everybody has to do group thingies constantly. But yep grouping is important.
