trouble downloading

in Silkroad Online
ive heard good things about this game... i want to play it.... i spent half an hour waiting for it to dowload and when i go to install it, it didnt unzip properly, so i tried unzipping it, still didnt work, so now im dowloading it from a different site.  is it a problem if i have vista?

    yea i finished downloading it a second time but still the same problem.  apparently the zip is damaged, how did u guys install it?

    No dude, its not wasting time... I didnt notice any problems u have. I dlded it and start playing. About Vista, dunno if there is going to be some problems but it seems that its not goin to run on vista. U just try it, maybe ull be  lucky with that :)

    Just try to download it from a different spot, its going to be just fine. Game is a little bit  boring but it has some thing that u goin to love. Try to evade some servers, very high population there and its not funny to farm with Chinese guys, believe me

    i get it to work, but every tiem i go to play it, it has to download an incredibly huge patch and i then it doesnt work. i got to play it once, and it was pretty fun, but i just dont feel like lvling up to get the abilities and im sick of waiting for the downloads. i never had this problem with any other game. im sick of it already. are there always this many updates or am i just bad with this game?

    Because the downloadable installer is of an old version, naturally a lot of patch downloading will follow. Rappelz has a similar experience, and sometimes worse, because it (Rappelz) doesn't continue from where it left off after an unsuccessful patching (it starts over again next time you patch). But after that, the succeeding patches in Silkroad shouldn't take more than 10 minutes (depending on the update).

    What was the error message, or what happened after you patched and it wouldn't work? I'm guessing it was during a server maintenance day, but there could be other reasons.
