Again get over yourselves how can u compare a car with software at all.
Ok lets compare it with a value meal at your local fast food resturant. They serve it to you with half a bun, the tomato is green and the meat is half cooked and the chhese has mold on it. Only half the fries are there and the cup of soda has a hole in the bottom so the soda leaks all over your pants. Then they announce a price raise in order to keep serving you that great food that you love so much.
How about let's not compare a multi-million dollar pc game with a burger from a restaurant? What, can you eat Vanguard?
He may not be able to eat it, but it's hard to deny that someone else crapped it out.

Your comparison would fit a lot more to your beloved LOTRO, with which an analogy can be easily created to fast food.

I took a couple bites and it made me nauseous so I spit it out.
It seems to me people are grabing every scrap of information and concentrating on its negatives rather then its positives.
From my point of view, this is an attempt by Sigil to reward players for their patience during this months mounting issues. Its an 'elite' tag that regardless of what it actually says, will be remembered as 'Beta 6 Tester'. Players will be thankful becuase it sets them apart from future players.
As far as the burger comment, I've yet to EVER eat a burger that looks like the picture of what they're selling in fast food or good sit down for that matter. Guess that just means you don't eat out either.
Based upon all the comments about incomplete product, I would also have to assume that everyone making those statements are not using any Microsoft products, so thats probably a good thing.
Anyway, are there problems? Yup. I played WoW for quite some time, and though everyone like to compare games to that, lets face it. It wasn't complete either. At release there was supposed to be things like battlegrounds....hmmm how long did it take for that to be implemented? I guess the class balancing is finished there as well? umm no. This can be said for any MMO out there. Show me one that is so complete that there are no patches coming out anymore. Only new releases of content. Please, just 1.
Vanguard has it's negatives. Yes, it requires a good system. Many of us have that, and with it, many of those problems go away. Rather than endlessly focusing on what negative can be found, focus on the positives that the game has and move on. From my view, the positives FAR outweigh the negatives. Will the game get better? I'm counting on it. Is it for everyone? God I hope not.

The problems go far beyond class balancing and the normal updates other games publish after release. If you choose to blindly support Sigil thats your decision but don't come here and try and show us how smart you are for it. Also I don't recall one person saying WOW was perfect at release so I don't know why all you blind mice keep bringing it up.
Can someone please tell me when the hell did Elite gamer start to mean sucker?
All you vanguard Fanbois are giving the rest of us gamers a bad name.
The problem is any asshat that can spend $3k- $5k on a system thinks he's hardcore. try building a $5k system for under $2k then come and talk to me.
And for the love of god if you don't like your game being attacked here don't respond to the propaganda and try to defend the POS It just adds fuel to the fire.
PRice of Station Pass increase might lead to all their single sub rate increase in the future. Best to keep finger cross on that.
Hm, not sure if those two were related. I think the station pass increase was in response to another game being offered under the pass; it's semi-logical that 5 items cost more than 4, and 4 cost more than 3, etc. I must admit, though, that I can't really imagine anyone playing more than two MMOs at a time.

Mistq2k, I can respect your loyalty (can't understand it but I can respect it) but really, you're not a great representative of the Sigil fan base.
And what you don't realize is there are people here who were suckered into paying for this pos game based on pie in the sky marketing and promises.
SOooooo it's payback time. That is unless Sigil want's to announce a game buyback program for all of those who didn't realize they were lied into buying a beta game as release.
Not sure where you have been but the problems people are complaining about should not come as a surprise for a game that most people connected to its development admit it was released 6 months too early due to money problems. This includes Sigil and the beta testers. I agree it sucks and I agree that this is a buggy but how about taking some responsibilty and do some research before you buy. That is what this website and forum was made for.
As for flashy marketing, you can't be serious? I don't really see how you were "taken in". Someone puts a flashy box on something and you buy it without checking out what you are buying first?
Seems there is a lesson for you to be learned as a consumer in general.
I do not see how Sigil lied to anyone. They have been more upfront about the state of their game than any game developer to date IMO. Unfinished and buggy game? Yes. Did they lie about it? Not that I can see.

You have a very good point there, cbas.
Yes Vanguard is buggy as all hell. Let's not even mention the problems with the 8800s at the moment that cause the loss of textures, crashing and even rebooting. There are loot bugs (as in, if one person in a group does not roll on a piece of loot and instead closes the window, the game thinks you're still rolling and won't let you loot ANYTHING after that for a good while), server chunks in a "seamless" world that often dismount you and lag you but mobs can STILL chase you down over them, boats don't work right yet, Fellowships and Caravans are not in the game nor are helmet/mask graphics... the list can go on for a while.
And there are some just silly problems, such as almost every mob has a stun and long ones at that. You can't seem to get anywhere without some random low level critter stunning and dismounting you.
But they were honest that it was going to be buggy. They came right out and said that the next two months at least would be more like Beta 6 than anything. IF they can get all of their bugs ironed out, THEN it will be a decent game.

The problems go far beyond that of what they actualy are, people are not blinded nor are they stupid if they dis-agree with your point of view, these are opinions based on experiance, yours seem to have not been the experiance you hoped it would be and therefor you are dis appointed and nothing wrong with not liking the game, that is your choice, it's your choice to write about that, but doing so you have the risk that someone else might not agree with you, should i now call you stupid just because i do like the game AFCOURSE NOT, i just respect your opinion, does that have to mean i need to agree to have respect, nope. Does it mean i can not discus the matter, afcourse i can discus it thats what forums are for.
Try to understand that not everyone's alike, all over the world people are different and will like different things, don't be narrowminded and think just because YOU think something that the rest of the world needs to think that way open a discussion about things you like or not like in a civilized manner thats all what most people ask for, or is it for some people the hiding behind their monitor so they can become anti-social persons without any respect towards other opinions.
