Not Really Free

I downloaded and installed the game, which was pretty hassle free. HOWEVER, once you get it installed you find that in order to play whenever you want, you have to pay for a "premium" account. If you do not pay, you are restricted to playing at certain times, but you can't find any information on when those times are. The only way you will know is when you try to log in and the servers won't let you.



The other irritating issue is that your chat window in the lower left corner is constantly filled (spammed) with sales pitches. When you are in a spawn area you are surrounded by players, not NPCs,  who have set up shop to try to sell you item. Its like a flea market gone wild. I was trying to get someone to help me and no one would answer, but they would have been glad to sell me some rare and expensive item.



Its a fun and easy game, when you can get online. In my opinion it should be labeled "Free2Pay2Play".

    err ya u can sometimes go on at 3PM, 4Pm, 5Pm (EST) but most of the times its free after 6

    Ya hes right, I can usually get on at 2 pm Central time. But Im a member now

    The only reason why sometimes you cant get on is because there is a lot of turkish ppl that play the game and they can get on b4 we can so we have to w8 till they start loggin off b4 we can get on, which 4 me is around 5:30-6:00 EST.

    I used to play K.O but i started to hate it because of the turks(btw i live in finland and we have the same timezone) Today im dling it again , but forgot about the turks in it... oh geez ...well maby there isnt that many anymore

    I used to have a lv 50 mage, then they did the Pay2Play at certain times, and I figured "bugger this" and started Dungeon Runners.

    i was a lv 37 mage wen i stopped playing. I mite start playing again if they fix their lagging problem and the pay2play.

    yeah i got tired of game publishers lying and saying that their games are free when theyre really not.  until...



    i finally came across a mmo that was ACTUALLY free, lol



    currently playing Corum Online but i still come back and play Knight Online here and there



    if youre down to pay for KO, good for you and welcome to the club, if youre not down to pay to play whenever you want, there are other MMOs out there for you

    just play the e-games version its the same thing down to the littleist detail and its never crowded

    The E-games version (MYKO) (www.knight-online.com.my) is way different then the original one. Though there are more english players, the game is kinda outdated. If you ask me, there are no real programmers at e-games. I mean, the game still runs with christmas patches for about two years now. Also, it doesn't use any of the new expensionpacks or patches. Yet it is free, more english and more stable. Just way outdated.
