Laptops

Keebs1984Keebs1984 Member Posts: 1,356

So I am beginning to look for a laptop computer. I don't want anything too expensive, and the computer itself does not have to be very powerful. I just need it for school, and some computer games, but nothing to graphic intensive.

Anybody know where I can find one for really cheap? Or the cheapest you can think of?

Thanks for any help.

Eternally mine,
Keebs

Can you name us some of the games you'd like to play, will be easier to suggest some laptops after that.

Have you looked on ebay? Don't be scared to buy on it if the seller have a good reputation.

I also suggest you to look in eBay. I bought mine 6 months ago there and it still works perfectly.

The games I'd like to play are probably mostly strategy-type games, like the Sim City series, a couple tycoon games, and the one I am playing right now The Movies. I have no desire or intention of playing FPS's or MMO's on the machine...thats what my main compu is for. :)

I havent checked ebay yet, but I will now. Any more suggestions would help.

You could find a 400-500$ laptop on ebay that play these games. Just look at the system requirements of the games that you want to play, and find a laptop that match those. If you absolutely want to buy a new laptop, a basic dell should play these games just fine ; I don't know their price in Sweden, but here in Canada, they are about 600-700$.

I have a 5 years old laptop, I run Civilization 3 and Warcraft 3 with it ; strategy games never get boring :)

It's never a good idea to pay a 2500$ gaming laptop, you're better to buy a 700$laptop, and a 1800$ gaming desktop, which will be more powerfull than the laptop. Only people who travel a lot should invest a lot of money in a gaming laptop.
