class help if willing

Well I posted below and tried the free trial and wow (no pun intended lol) I was shocked by both starting areas and how helpful people were.  Honestly it brought me back to the days of EQ1.  Well in EQ1 I played a SK now they weren’t exactly frowned upon but weren’t really sought after either.  Are they much improved now?

I played a rogue and war in WOW and truly enjoyed the rogue class but always said to myself "hey don’t rogues wear mail?" Any ways tried both SK, Brigand and the assassin class in the trial.  Love them all but which is more viable in raids and groups?

Also if you're on a non PVP server can you interact with the opposing faction?  I remember in EQ1 it really didn’t matter us that getting to certain places was more of an pain in the ass then anything else.  Thanks for all the help.

    I haven't played a SK, but theres a lot of people they do, and like em.  So i cant really compare them to the EQ1 version.

     Assassin do great single damage from what i know and have the most powerful backstab of all rogues, while Brigands are great in raids/groups for their debuffs.  You may also want to try out the Swashie as they have great DPS.

    Yes, guilds usually have members from both Freeport and Qeynos.  It doesn't matter on the PvE servers.  You still cant go wandering around the opposing town though as the guards will smite thee.

    Thanks a lot man.  May try the swashie but the wife and I have become very attached to the evil persona.  Again thank you, though it seems surfing the boards there ALOT of SK roaming about that may become difficult come raid time and such.  Just looking ahead though.

    If your looking at another Evil option, then i might suggest the Bruiser, they absolutely kick ass

    Play what you want, no one will care. And yes, you can interact with the opposing faction.

    SKs aren't sought after in EQ2 either, its the same as EQ1.

    Brigand is the most valuable, they can parse close to an Assassin and have debuffs that every raid wants.

    If you're on a non-PvP server, factions don't matter.
