Question about "old times"

Hi guys!

A friend and me were talking about the "old times" in eq1 yesterday. So we were also wondering which class was the first to kill the first dragon in Kunark !solo! at the very bottom in Good Old Sebilis? He meant it was a Necromancer but i am definitely sure it wasn`t so I am asking you if you remember it. Would be very nice if you can tell me which class it was and maybe also the name of the dragon? Don`t remember it anymore....

    It was Trakanon who led the assault on the Iksar Empire, raidng their cities before taking up residence in Venril Sathir's old stronghold of Sebilis. He has managed to dodge death, and seems to have come out even better off.

    He claws for 650, with a sickening melee range, and his breath attack has been known to kill whole groups in minutes.

    It is Trakanon who drops the Breastplates for the Kunark Class specific armour.

    Only the triggered version drops the Undead Dragongut Strings required for the bard epic.

    Just taken off of Alla's.  Certainly back in the day he was a bad ass, but nowadays soloable by many classes, if not all of them.

    Thanks for the answer! But do you also maybe know which class was the first to kill Trakanon solo?

    I quit before anyone had soloed trakanon that would be pretty ridiculous haha. He dropped my favorite singing steel bp!

    Damn straight! I quit in Sep 2002, and when I hear that mobs such as Trakanon are solo fodder, I never regret my decision to quit when I did. For good or ill, EverQuest is a completely different game when I originally played.

    No sorry the first to solo I do not know, but I shall see what I can dig up. I pressume it will be a necro IMO, but alas that is just speculation.

    Twas a ranger, 65 I think. He cast his ranger invis everytime he got ported to the shrooms and waited to be summoned back. I'm pretty sure he was buffed up also.

    I think eqrangers has the post from him try a search there.

    i think in my server (solusek ro back then) it was an sk that was the first to solo trakanon...

    but now with all the disciplines and healing potions mana regen potions (reuse time is 2 minutes so if u can stay up for 2 mins to reuse healing potions its easy) etc out there LITERALLY any class can solo trakonon...

    my ranger was level 73 before i quit and i could solo all kunark + some velious dragons easily...
