Escape to Norrath

Ok, I wanted to try out EQ once more.  Instead of just going out and buying the titanium I wanted to run "Escape To Norrath" before I actaully buy the game.  I downloaded , created an account , installed , patched , started the game up and tryed to log in " Subscription required ".... Although it states no credit card information or billing information is required.  So why is a subscription required for escape to norrath? Interesting..

    well u dont need a subscription to the game itself but to SOE i think just gotta have an account for example if you play some of there other games like Vanguard for instance then u can get into the trial or at least i think so
