Okay, lets look at the score board; shall we?
-Matrix: Revolutions (Theatrical)- A crappy movie with bad acting and to much blabber...It didn't make sense!
-Matrix: Reloaded (Theatrical)- An even CRAPPIER movie with WAY to much mindless talking, fat guys (I'm talkin' to you, Morpheous), rediculous dance scenese, and BOY did I want to hurt that whiney Neo!
-Enter The Matrix (Every Consol known to man)- Ooo! A crappy game filled with bugs, MORE mindless blabber, and oh yeah...IT WAS CRAP PILED ON A DISK!
So, now that I've stated that and got it out of my system, lets look at The Matrix Online, shall we?
Pros
-Looks Customisable
-Fighting looks good
-No bad acting
-(hopefully) Big Enviroments
Cons
-Neo Wannabes are gonna be every where
-Your not going to be able to do any thing cool for a LONG time
-ITS DEAD!!!

Here's a Pro to add to the list for the game. Its being made by the guys who made Dark Age of Camelot, who were also commisioned to make Mythica for microsoft, before microsoft pulled the plug. Plus if you read the forums at the matirx website, you will see that no one will be able to be like neo, yeah they can look like him, but they will never be him. I'm looking forward to being a hacker in the game, if you decide to play and you gonna be a fighter I'll make sure you get some good chipsets from me.

Dont really know how I feel about how "Information" (TMO term for money) is going to be implemented... any know how they can make sence of this?
The basics of obtaining information will be from accessing and downloading from data nodes scattered throughout The Matrix. This will take certain skills to do successfully. However one thing to keep in mind is that it is always dynamic - it will fluctuate in different, sometimes unforseen, ways. Also keep in mind that the defense programs probably do not like you tapping into their data nodes unchallenged.
As for the movies, I loved them to bits. Why? Well considering the vast complexities of the storyline it did well to answer them. I know for a fact that about a third of theatre left when The Architect was making his speech to Neo because it was "too boring". Yeesh folks, he explains almost everything at that part. No, the reason why they were good sequels was because they did very well to touch an amalgomy of metaphysical philosophies, without trying to conflict with others, and make it unique. The movies were not confusing as people said they were - they made perfect sense. But then again, some folks will have difficulty wrapping their noodle around it. Which is why it was defaced so badly by the critics. Is it true? Ask people who liked it and they will most likely know what almost every symbol in the movie meant. The Matrix Trilogy is littered with symbolism and metaphors.
EDIT: Oh and the battle at the docks in Revolutions was incredible.

Base a game on a passing fad... good luck. Matrix is already old and done with... they killed it with the last movie... dead dead dead. I just don't see this game surviving at all... I can't fathom this world keeping anyone's interest...

It is interesting the number of dullards out there that found the Matrix hard to understand (it comes out as "it was crap...I hated it" but we know the truth).
They must need braindead movies like League of Extraordinary Gentlemen to have fun.
If you didn't like the second one why go to the third one...? And then why buy the DVD....and Why play the game....?

I really enjoyed the Matrix and I would like to play the game if they get it right....Anarchy Online had a matrix (whateverthehell they called it) in game that was pretty cool.

I have to admit... after a while, all that Philosophy kinda made my head hurt... it was fun arguing outside the theatre after number two over what everything meant, but the third one... it just... it just didn't click for me, and I was kinda in religious mode and I really didn't feel like thinking of Neo as Jesus... and before I knew it, he was walking on gold stuff and I knew I had missed the philosophy train...
If it were me, I'd put a dumber storyline in front of the monstrous philosophy so all the normal (or tired, or busy) people can 'get it' and then layer the deep stuff heavily on top of that...
It'd be a shame if no one 'gets' the game either...
