Alot has changed, there is a ton of new content. You can now get your own chocobo, your own NPC buddy companion[doesnt last long at low levels].The majority of players now hangout in AHT urghan/whitegate.The level 75/merit point players still think they know more than everyone else,RMT are still rampant. The economy until recently was very much broken. It is now just coming down, but in relative terms ,so is the AH activity,so really it's still a broken economy. They made fishing more interactive, but with no actual fish animation it's still a very gimpish program.I mean ok,you got a rod swaying back n forth, but where is the dam fish you catch?

Overall, there is alot of content, since you left.Even if you don't like starting over, you may wish to level the blue mage job that was added or the puppetmaster or corsair. For quite some time now there is just ALOT of AFK's hanging out on there 75 jobs .There really isnt enough players at each level, forming parties. The food and recipes of the game have made a wide turn about, foods that were popular, back in 2004 are no longer used,as many changes have been made to food effects.

You really now need a static setup,to keep from wasting endless hours of doing nothing ,or trying to setup something.Good luck if you plan on playing again, alot has changed since then.
