You may have seen my other thread asking about how the game is and stuff. Well, now I have the game!
But I need help again in it.
1) Whenever I go into the world, I always see enemies on the theater map, but when I walk over to them, they aren't there. The only enemies I see are planes. And since I have no one to shoot, I can't go up in ranks. How do I fix this?
2) As a tank or truck, I can never go fast. For example, I'll be on the road, top gear, finger on the gas, and I'm not going fast at all! Someone told me to downswitch gears, but that just makes me go slower.
Please help me out here! I love this game, but I don't know how to fix this up!

If you mean that marker on a map with an INfantry icon...that is a report from someone on your side. It is not an icon of an emeny soldier...there is NO icons for above infantry or tanks etc.
You proably don't have the gas mapped correctly since it sounds like you don't have a throttle. Google SGTSpoon and check is keymaps for kb/mouse only.
It's like driving a car or a real tanks for that matter.
At start is the gear in neutral position.
1) Start the engine
2) When engine is running smoothly, give it max throttle (you don't do this in real life though).
3) Put in 1st gear.
4) Next put in 2nd gear and so on.
5) Depending on the type of ground (road, field, step hill on dirth) must you adjust which gear you shall use.
Sometimes can't you drive on a higher gear then 2nd or 3rd, at other times can you drive on the highest gear (10th gear on some german tanks).
Best way to know if you should switch to a higher gear or not is to listen to the engine sound and check the engine rev.
I'll give this a stab....
1) Keep in mind that enemy locations on the map are where players are estimating that the enemy unit is. They could be way off and it does not take into account that the enemy may move or get killed before the mark on the map is removed. If you head towards trucks on the map you stand a good chance of finding enemy as it is probably a mobile spawn point for infantry. To a degree early on as infantry before you have binoculars it is best to fight in areas that you will see your enemy like towns or cities as opposed to open country where they can hide in hedges easily and escape your view.
2) my guess is that you are leaving your tank in neutral or 1st gear and not using the higher gears...I could be wrong though. Keep in mind that these are WWII tanks not M1s...they are not the fastest things in the world ;-)
Also there is a help channel in game where people will often answer questions and if you get with a good squad then they can often help you as well. If you play Axis you can probably find some of my squad monitoring channel 43 (goto slot 4 or 5 on your chat bar and click on costom and put in those numbers to tune the channel.
