A good free MMORPG?

Hello,

     I was wondering what would be a good free MMORPG. I have played Flyff and I have quit due ot the newest update and the new way they do skills anyways.... I was wondering if there was a free MMORPG that allows for character customization. Many of the ones which I have tried make you be a certain race/class/gender with your character creation instead of making your own character. Thus with this problem many of the people look alike. Can you help..

    Games who usually have a specified look and are free have a reason for doing so. 

    That's when the cashshop comes in and people like me, spend a good amount to "look different".

    Wish i could help you out with a game but i'm stuck on finding a game to settle down with also

    Well you might wanna check out Anarchy Online, or Shadowbane. Both have good char customization, and both are free. They used to be pay-to-play,They are a little older though so dont expect wow or eq2 graphics.

    thanks for the quick replies,  I played voyage century and it was okay but the world was quite small.  The only one I have paid to play for is Final Fantasy Online, Everquest and Ultima Online back in the day. I thought Anarchy Online was only free for a limited time or something like that. I really don't mind if it is fantasy, oriental, sci-fi, historical or what ever just a game with decent graphics and with a good character creation program. I played 9 dragons for a bit but I dunno once again I felt confined to a small scope of things. Anyways If anyone else has any suggestions let me know.
