Create Account Problem

in Guild Wars

ok guys hopefully you can help me out with this one.  I d/led the guild wars e3 beta client, i installed it and everything runs good.  The game menu comes up when i start it.  The menu asks to type you user name/Password to enter and it also says create new account.  When i click on create new account, it takes about three seconds before my whole computer freezes.  I dont know why this is happening.  Is it because of my router? right now im hooked up on to LAN.  You guys think thats a problem?  Well anyways i have a:

Pentium 4 processor (2.56 Ghz)

512 DDR ram

Radeon 9600 XT (128mgs)

Maxtor 250 gig HD

DVD-rom 32x

CD-rom 64x

 

anyone think they know what the problem is?

    When did you try to do this? As far as I knew it couldn't be done before the 2nd of May. If it was before that, maybe trying again. But I don't see a router being a problem here. As long as your firewall is allowing you to connect you should be just fine.

    If this was done after May 2nd, I will be more then happy to pass this along to one of the arena staff members and see if we can't get you an answer.

    You never know, they might have been doing some server updates or something that caused this to happen. I know for a fact they are busy getting ready for E3 to roll around. It isn't very far off. image

    no, i acutally tried doing it yesterday and it still froze.  Man if you could do that, it would be great!

    Did you try un-installing and then re-installing?  Did you get any errors during install?  If you did, you might also want to download it again incase the zip file was bad.

    everything installed fine.  And im not sure if i had an installation problem cause i really cant remember.  I dont think i did but ill try re-d/ling it.

    ok, i red/lded and installed.  Tried to create a new accout and it actually worked.  I put in my e-mail and pw and press create.  But then when it went to the "Congradulations for whatever whatever page", it froze.  But i still got the e-mail sent and it activated.  Im just hoping that it doesnt freeze during gameplay.  Well thx guys, and hey if you can find out why it still freezes that'll be great

    Damn! still having freezing problems.  I created my account but when i try to login it only gave me about 10 seconds before it froze
