Crafting is coming to DDo

POSTED BY FLUMMOXED (in general forum , but I think its more appropriate to answer it here in DDO FORUM)

Players always cry "someone should make a mmog that's different!!!" so someone did and now players don't like that either so you can't win.  As long as a stable and profitable base of players find it fun who cares.

Well your problem is the way of thinking ,,, so let me explain this to you..

A little child cries ,,, That its being bored with the food its getting from its mum,, so mum not being creative at all to make something different she decides not to give him food at all..

Thats what happened with DDO .... Crafting open spaces end all other features are what makes an DDO complete .

Not having  these features , does not make DDO any DIFFERENT , its only makes it an  unfinished  half  finished game ...

now its up to them how are they going to create and apply those features in order to make it different and in its way original

well thanks god they are coming to their senses

Yes thats true they are going to bring to DDO :Monks , crafting , open spaces , half orcs, Guild halls and all other features that makes an DDO complete

The only thing DDO had different from others RPG games was the twitch combat. I liked it personally.. It just lacked every where else.. No crafting, set pathed zones, instanced up the waazoo.. It really didn't offer much innovation and lacked a lot of what players expected coming in from other MMO games.

To put it quite simply.. I couldn't be bothered to spend 15/month for a DDO themed game in a guild wars instanced world.

I also have no faith in anything they claim will be going in either, after playing LOTR beta.. Crafting was bland and non important.. The LOTR combat system is EQ2 without the heroic ops.. Like WTF is the big deal? Turbine has two really good IP's and they can't do sqaut with them because they can't innovate any half decent design features and the ones they rip off from other games are boring and bland..

One striking similarity between LOTR and DDO was the two games engines and graphics. What I fully expect turbine to do here, is directly import the LOTR crafting and combat system plus any guild features etc from LOTr to DDO.. If the two games engines are the same one? Which they probably are.. This is exactly what they will do to save time.
