image152 hours. 8.4 million total xp

This post is more about how I got there than bragging rights.

As an assault / device blaster I used caltrops and ignite 99% of the time. (up until I got ignite was slug / burst )
Caltrops - 6 slotted with enhance slow and keeping enhancements up to date with lvls makes this an effective aoe root with a minor dot. You can root most enemies 4 lvls higher than you with it maxed out. Before I got ignite I even used to "root rot" entire groups with it.
Ignite - 6 slotted all damage enhancers. A squirt of this on your rooted enemies will put em in a world of hurt. Keeping the enhancers maxed with your lvl will drop minions and lt's with one dose (most depending on resistances)
Stamina - 6 slotted end recovery
Health - 6 slotted enhance heal
Superspeed ~ (wouldnt list it but in its current state it was a factor )
These were my key powers.

Lvls 1-15 Running missions
Lvls 16-20 Boomtown , The Lost. Throwing caltrops on groups everytime it refreshed (the dot portion stacks, you can get 2-3 caltrop dots going at once) while the dot ate away the minions I sniped the lt's.
Lvls 21-30 Astoria. Loved this place and was the most fun of all the zones. If you like to ae, this is the place for you 8)
Lvls 31-35 Crey's Folley and Brickstown. Most xp was gained off werewolves in Bricks (they have no range attack) and Swarm in Creys (vulnerable to fire, spray ignite around yourself and agro the swarm)
Lvls 36-40 Abandoned sewers, Hydra. This is where I lived the last 3 days. Nasty range on them but the easiest thing there. Using walls and corners you can set up a nice xp cycle. The respawn is so fast you can go around a corner come back and the mobs are up again so you dont need to do alot of moving around just find a good camp spot.

Villians I avoided - Fliers, stunners, mezzers. Namely majority of Ritki, some Freakshow and Devouring Earth can be a major pain.

I should have put cloaking device on my key powers also, its invaluable for getting by things you dont want to fight. (sewers for example, narrow passages)

Thats it in a nutshell. Now..superspeed. In its current state did I avoid numerous deaths and level faster? Yes. Did I blatantly throw tactics out the window and wade in the middle of mobs and destroy them? No. My tactics are sound, with or without superspeed I would have made 40, just would have taken longer.

Keep in mind casual gamers still like to play. They don't plan out whats the quickest and easiest way to get to level 40 in a week. Lots of people just like to chat, log on for maybe an hour a day, and still say they had a blast playing.

If your a hardcore gamer then get lineage 2, and don't bash this game. I'm sure you can hack and slash at monsters for hours of mind-numbing crap and still not beat it.

I bet someone will reach the final lvl in WoW in a week too when WoW comes out and will post threads about that so people get confused inteo not buying that game...

  • Mag1sterMag1ster Member Posts: 97
People won't listen to those kind of thread, they know people with no life exist and will always beat any game in one week... unless the level limit is unbelievable.

This game is great, most fun i have had in a long time, 8.4 million xp, if you are killing white con that is like 30 something each assuming you dont die any that is about 240,000 mobs you killed, if you did that in a week you have waaaaaayyyyy too much time on your hands
