Now i'm not typically a graphics whore, but something really struck a note when I take a look at the screenshots and movies of Aoc. At first, I saw the old E3 video where the hero and heroine battle the group of vikings, and get almost taken out by a mage wielding a giant rock. You guys know which one I'm talkin' about! I felt the character models really needed some work, as their mouths were open the entire time, making them look slightly idiotic.
That said, the newer screenshots and movies are a lot more refined and sexy looking. I look at other games like WAR, Vanguard, Spellborn (especially this one!) , and I find it hard to get pumped about these games because to me, the art direction is lacking.
Maybe it's just that gritty, less-than-perfect thing that AoC is going for, I'm not sure. What I am sure is that I like it. I would have bought a computer around Christmas last year, but I know I'll be a lot better off in the long run if I wait until the game comes out to buy a new rig that will show the world of Conan in all it's glory.

But I agree. Although almost ALL of the new screenshots and movies are in DX10 form, they're looking awesome none the less. One thing that I am worried about though is how much will the difference in graphics be between DX10 and 9. So far we've only gotten 3 screenshots that compair the two versions. But, it dosen't really give us a look at the two.
