Anyone else notice in the lastest article that some of the titles can only be earned by Admin -run events?!?!?! That it too cool. Not that I will ever have one most likely (I'm not hard core uber leet), but still, to know that the sun may shine on a dog's butt and I mightI get one....nice!

Khalathwyr, is his never-ending quest to aid the Free Peoples of Middle Earth, did boldly prostrate himself to allow Gandalf the White to step on his back to sit atop Shadowfax and subsequently ride to the aid of those at Helm's Deep. He will forever now be known as:

Khalathwyr, Gandalf's Horse Helper Onto Guy!

Hopefully Alchemic Dreams run their events better than they did in Dark And Light.

Is that for the EU version? As I haven't heard otherwise, I'm pretty sure for US version Turbine's in-house live team will run events. I mean, I haven't looked/checked for sure, but I haven't had any reason to believe otherwise. I too hope both versions, US and EU, get the top notch attention that Turbine has delievered in the past with AC1. Funny, my friend from the UK had me pre-order a US version for him. Wonder if that had anything to do with it?

I love Europe and in particular the British Isles, Germany and Barcelona is my favorite city in the world,  however I for gaming I am really happy that I live in the US. I have very little faith in Codemasters or Alchemic Dream.

    I miss DAoC

Hehe, I am very happy that I live in Sweden and not the US, but for gaming purposes I would much rather live in the US...I really agree with you on that!

I thought that you were going to say:

"LotR by any other name is WoW."

on account of one being a clone....

but maybe i was just thinking this.

If the people that were involved with events from dnl are here, at Lotr then yall in some serious trouble.

Very, very poor choice by them I would say, sadly it is the common way to go nowadays. Probably has to do with contracting issues. The best way to handle this would have been to do as SOE does, when playing EQ2, VG or EQ1 you can choose servers in either the US or in Europe. In EQ2 you would have to do an extra patching but it works really good.

Unfortunately no, steuss. I'm one of the few people who realize spending time on the forums of games I don't like or only have negative things to say about is a total waste of time. Sorry to disappoint you, no trolling here.

That is the suck about the version thing. Wish they had told me sooner as I have already gotten the pre-order and gave him the Founders Key (least I heard about it before I shipped the disk to him). Ahh well, I pre-ordered 3 in that go around (1 for him and 2 for another friend, currently in India for work, and his wife). Guess, since my English friend can't use the key, I'll give that one to my friend and his wife and take one of the other un-opened 2 back.

Obviously Turbine's  past  knowledge from  games such As Asherons call

means they have far and above the knowledge needed to  make a great game ,add that to  the tolkien story line and well

the rest is going to be history FOLKS

I am sure this first offering of Lotro is just the basis for what will become a huge game  with a more than adequate following

Their D&D is only a game designed to pay the way for this epic

if it is  watched over and cared for like ac1 was then this game is going  explode in both content and  map size

Otherwise Turbine  way as well hang up the game making jobs and go out and  get day jobs !

That was for the European version not the U.S.

And don't bring up the LOTRO/WoW clone thing. Its been worn out. Who cares if they use the same/ have similar engines. It plays differently enough and has much better graphics and content then WoW.

    Currently: Playing EVE Online
Previous: FFXI, Dragonrealms, sad little stint in WOWland.
Awaiting: Fallen Earth, Hero''s Journey, Tabula Rasa, Age of Conan.
