Did you introduce your partner to MMO's, do you regret doing it?

My wife has just finished a 12+ hour session of WOW.

She tried the trial at Xmas, (came with Diablo 11i believe) and has been playing like a demon ever since. She works full time and sleeps less to play more. If she had to choose between giving up playing or giving up smoking i think her head would explode, like a robot when asked to make a difficult decision.

Have you had a good/bad after showing someone for the first time the world of MMO's.

I can't play anything at the moment because of this....

Right now my wife and I play MMO's together and it's can be great fun.  Unfortunately (or fortunately) she has a ton more time to play than I do because I work full time and she's a stay at home mom with the kids in school so her characters level faster than mine do.  I usually find myself being her sidekick.  We do have a couple of characters that only level when I have the time to play.

same here, i introduced my wife to mmo's about 7 years ago when i started playing everquest 1. i played that for sometime, and she usually watched didnt play it very much, then when i heard about everquest 2 i was all psyched and got her into it too. we bought two computers two years ago, along with two copies of eq2 and have been playing it together ever since, but we both work full-time and play together when we can. we have chars that we will only play when both of us are online also, so we can keep them at about the same level. i do play eve online on the side, with my brother (whom i also got started on mmo's), though he works a LOT and we rarely get to play at the same time, usually only on saturday night.

i cant say that i regret it, but she is kind of "Stuck". i cant get her to try any other games, and i really wanted to give AOC a shot, but all i ever get from her is "i dont like pvp". she is big on crafting and talking to friends, so i think a big part of it is leaving the friends that play...but a lot of them have been quitting, so maybe i can persuade her before it releases.
