Yeah; i'm just curious if anyone on these forums cut their own hair, because i'm tired of Asian ladies poking me and commenting about how long my hair is and how green my eyes are.

I've been cutting my own hair for years...just buy a set of clippers from pretty much any store like Target or Walmart(or even Costco) and just sheer away...it also helps to have a mini shaving kit to do touch ups when you are done with the longer parts of your hair. If you aren't looking to just buzz your hair like I do, then I can't really help you, it would be very difficult to style your hair in any way if you were to do it yourself...unless you were an expert barber.

I have never cut my own hair. I havent had it actualy cut in a very long time because my hair is just past my butt and hubs dont want it cut so all i do is go and have it trimmed every couple of months and have a salon deep condition applied to it to help keep it looking nice and smooth looking.

But I'm bald and wear a hat lot. I've never really cared about my hair.
Tips would be quit while you are ahead. Don't just keep chopping and chopping. Too little is better than too much.
Electric sheers give you an even cut, where you can't see. Otherwise you are doinf guess work by measuring your hair length by fingers at the back where you can't see.
The problem with sheers is that you only get a very minor choice of hair lengths. The shortest being the most effective.
The biggest tip of all if you are going to cut your own hair is learn not to care about your appearance. People are going to laugh at you.

Ive been doing mine for a very long time, just partially. Razor cuts mainly (yay), so I kill any conformist unity to my hair (I'm such a rebel) .
I usually get it cut by a hot or..very hot Asian gal at the place I go, also for 8 bucks they do a job that makes most $20 hair cuts look $8! What a steal!
Oneday when I'm not lazy i'll show my wretched exuse for a hair cut out.
