God, HBO keeps running the star wars films Over and Over, I wish i could just boot up SWG again and hop in the universe, i'm so tempted to just put up with NGE, but i'll never give in to the darkside.

    Yup, I feel the same way.  Ya think SoE paying HBO to keep playing em?   But be strong, a day or so in there and you'll realize it's not the Star Wars ya love.

    I'm downloading all the patches again right now. My bro has station pass and said I could check out the game to see if its worth activating my old account again.. I just wanna see how dead it is I guess, before I drop 15 bucks on my account.. He was a Ws/TKM and logged into the CU once and uninstalled the game cause he was a lvl 54 dual master lol.. He couldnt do what he normally did because of levels so he quit.. but plays eq2..

    I don't think I could ever go back to my old chars, I tried the NGE on a new account because looking at my old pets stuck in my datapad would've broken my heart...I wish someone else would realize what a sandbox game is, and why UO has been going for 9 years+ now. Yes, they're constantly balancing skills, but that's part of it, and SOE couldn't deal with that thought. My pistoleer/dancer/ch/medic will live on in my memories.

    I just tried it after downloading the patches.. In 1 hr, I crashed 3x (hard locks but windows was still responsive), and found my respec device bugged so I couldn't even change my class.. And it was really laggy and rubber banding.. BTW, i saw about 10 guys pvpn lol.. Server was dead otherwise.

    Yeah, it's not Star Wars... hence why you don't see all the hard core fans playing the game.

    Think about it...

    Do you think that there is only 20k Star Wars fans? --- it's just considered a flop in the eyes of the serious fans.

    Go to a comin con or fan fest and ask them... just be ready for the flame.

    The only other game that seems to have produced the same kind of refugee response that SWG has was when EA shut down EnB.  Two really nice games lost to us.

    Lol... I played that game, it was fun for a while too...

    Really one of the first decent space sims before EVE

    I caught some of Episode IV over the weekend. The scenes on tatooine were almost enough to make me cave in and reactive my account just to save my large house on tat from the purge. But I knew that I'd feel worse about it if I logged in and had to suffer through the NGE just to revisit my old home.



    Better to remember it how it used to be than experience it in it's current state.

    lol yeah i logged in during one of the 10-day trials just to see how badly it was gonna suck..i walked into eisley and guess what i see? ONE...........whole person... that's it, just one, by the bank...eisley usually lags like crap when you try and walk around in it, let alone get one your swoop and DRIVE! but there was no lag, no people, nobody fighting for kills, nothing! i went into the geo caves and there wasnt anyone there AT ALL...it was like the whole galaxy was empty except for about 5 people

    I watched all six over the course of 3 weeks from On-Demand. It brought back a lot of good memories from when I first played at launch. I remember going back about 4 months ago (first time playing NGE) and I was saddened by the fact every place I went to was dead. It almost brought a tear to eye.

    Honestly even if the game was full of people  I wouldn't play it again. WoW has millions of people and I dont play that either. Just because a game may be popular doesnt mean its good or enjoyable for me. SWG keeps changing though so I keep watching and hoping it will turn back in to something I like.
