Most titles in the market, whether they are targeted to silent majority or vocal minority, are produced by the names that are associated with certain franchise. We know that apart from the people who are actually bringing these titles to the mass and those who are actually playing them, the flagship name associated with certain brand invariably means something to some, while none to others.
Now there is third party, the hyping party. These special breed of people specialize in spending their "after-hours" of work day sitting in their comfortable chair talking about games to be hyped with unprecedented resilience. No one is sure whether they are actually going to play the game they are hyping or just sitting there to cast one or two bombshell comments to invict adulterous game design here and there and people who are blindly trying to defend it.
It's these people's duty to keep other people talk about the game to be hyped and prepare the way for the "Kingdom Comes".
Ironically I'm one of them. A very mouthful one if you might forgive me. I'm not the door-to-door going kind of type trying to convert the not-so-enlightened ones but I really can't keep my mouth shut when I see real pretty chick walking by next to me. Through years of solitary meditation and abstinence from earthly desires, I've learned that it is very sinful thing to have mouth shut when a such pretty scene has just walked by.
Now getting back to my point, the two payment modes mentioned in topic line certainly should mean something to people. We all indulge our appetit to something sweet. But the hype, something that isn't always inherent to the sight-blinding meat loaf, is the name of the day.
What is the hype? Why some always invariably yield to hype while others are content with daily solitary meditation?
I'm meditating on the following:
Is Hype > permutation & combination(F2P,B2P,P2P,MicroTrans,Demo,Shareware,Vaporware) ?
or am I under medication?

I had to read your post a few times to really understand all of it, and I think you're asking the following question, "Why do some people feel compelled to hype MMORPG's, while others are perfectly happy smoking weed and being a stoner?" To answer your question, I have nfi. Not the slightest clue, man.
