Closed is over March 25th, and Open Begins March 30th/April 6th.
I sure hope they let me download the OB client during that time.
I want to get back in the saddle on the 30th.
Definately a sick day for me.
Wouldn't you know that this is the day my parents decided to come for a visit!
I mean come on man.... priorities.
Shame we can only work on one character though.....
I can see myself leveling up multiple alts simultaneously.... oh well, grateful we can keep at least one into opening day...

i thought you could carry over like 3 characters from open beta?
o well im only going to play one. once i hit 15 and do a little crafting im going to play a monster and rape some hobbit villages
You are right. I have been in ever major beta these last five years, and I am very impressed by how this community handles itself in their relations witht he devs and each other. Extremly mature and informative and very little bickering. Other games released not to long ago would have improved immensly if they had a similar constructive audience willing to discuss things with each other. I would not have believed it had I not seen it myself.
The game is not in my taste and I will not buy it.. But the community impressed the hell out of me. Good job, all of you.

On the official Turbine forums they posted you can carry over as many characters are you want - up to 5 per server, with I guess 7 servers available for Open Beta....When scary things get scared, that's bad...
A: Players may have up to 5 characters per server, and all characters from all servers will be carried over.
Q: What's the level cap?
A: The level cap is set to 15. Once you hit level 15, your character will no longer receive experience until the game goes live on April 24th.

Very glad multiple chars carry over, because level 15 being the cap for the length of pre-release is very low.. level 15 == two long night sittings

Between crafting and getting my 5 Monsters ready for battle I should be able to keep myself occupied.. not to mention a chance to work at some combat traits before the levels start rolling by.
5 Days!
The 30th is the day before Moving Day so most likely I will have my PC taken apart for the next day. I won't have the cable guy come until Sunday to get the cable hookup so it's looking like Sunday night at the earliest for me to get started.
But I am looking forward to the OB and knowing that these new characters will be keepers when the game goes live.
