Hi, ive been in about every mmorpg there is EXCEPT the AC series.. accually when AC1 went into open beta i downloaded it but i didn't know anything about MMORPG's then so i walked around a bit and just like deleted it.. then later on I got into mmorpg's starting with EQ.. so I REALLY wanna try AC1 cause i here so many good things.. but i was wondering how big is the download from fileplanet? I'm on 56k and not sure how big it is.. or if i can get it on cd? Thanks

With 56k it takes maybe 4 hours to download. Just set it to Download while you're sleeping. Then burn it onto CD.
You can still buy AC in most major computer stores (CompUSA, Babbages, GameSpot) or have them special order it for you. I think AC costs around $10.oo or $20.oo (USA).
It's a fun game. The dungeons are the most incredible part IMHO. (Better than EQ's Dungeons!). The graphics are a bit outdated. Very simular to EQ's graphics. The AC comunity is very nice and newbie friendly. One of the most tight-knit player communites out of any MMORPG ever made.
AC is also a skill based game. EQ is a level based game. AC allows you to customize your character and skills the way you want. Make a spell caster who can use a bow and arrow, or whatever you want to do... etc... etc... EQ does have much bigger cities though heheh. AC has towns and villages heheh.

Thanks for the reply! I purchased the Asherons Call Dark Majesty deal from fileplanet for 12.95$ I'm currently downloading it.. its 359mb's total and gonna take me 17hrs to finish it all.. i currently only have 6 hrs left.. Thanks for the info.. Whats a good server to play on?

OR Frostfell- Gets made fun of on Darktide For being a Huge Light Player Killer Server........Light pk is when u have player killer but when u die u dont loose any items or any vite.........Very fun game that i would recomend to alot of people........i had played it for 5 years.... just stoped playing in middle 2003......i hate leveling though takes a long ass time for 50-60 unless u know alot of people to help you power level.......also i think i might be heading back to the game.... if u need a great place to get from level 1-30 in one day by soloing i can bring u there....you will need buffs, but at like lvl 24 if u have melee def and item enchantment u can easyly solo with no buffs....... when i played on DT i soloed at lvl 28 to lvl 34 with my item/bow char.......only had bd4 on the bow and no armor on or buffed robe/clothing........for all the verterans of ac the hunting place is assault orb dungeion........just a little advice, u will need high stam or lots of stam potions, if u go down to the second floor.......unlss u r buffed..... not buffed i killed things in 2 hits but i still lost lots of stam cause of how many........well good luck to you on you download.....and look for the clan leaded by Morlok...........lovly clan, 2 buff bots, along with my lvl 82 mage and 57 sword on that clan
