    Looks like poo.  I think Ultima Online Looks better than this....really, why create games without utilizing todays technology?  This looks like it was made in the 90's.

    I thank the user who posted the picture of the game, I was just about to apply to their forum and then download the client when I checked over here. You just saved me computer space and countless hours of wating my time helping their below average game with bugs and such. Again, thank you!

    you are all ameteur gamers.. obviously the "kiddy" generation of gamers who spawned from World of Warcraft.

    these games are all about roleplaying and storyline.  you dont need good graphics for a great game.. duh

    sure, it doesnt look as good as LotR or Vanguard.. but it has potential beyond even my own wildest dreams!

    mark this post, when its released it will dominate the market.  LotR doesnt stand a chance against this wow killer!

    oh, and if you cant look past the graphics and see the shining gem of gameplay that it has underneath.. well we dont need you!

    besides.. do I need to spell it?     B E T A!

    LoL, stage 4 of the beta would mean that the game is basically done and they are just fine tuning. There is nothing at all in that world other than a guy with a huge gun in 1 hand and a sword in the other. Regardless I enjoyed the laugh and appreciate your sense of humor!

    Please spare us the "we like to dress up and act out our toon" speech.  If you like to act out a fictional character in a video game, that's you.  Some of us people want a game that actually looks good.  If I want storyline only without graphics, i'll read a book.  If I want to dress up and play an elf and act him out, i'll play D&D.  This game looks like total crap.  You call the WoW players "kiddy" gamers yet you want to roleplay?  Give me a break.  People need to get with the times.  Nobody is going to pay to play garbage.  And game designers who just piece together crap and throw it to the public to make a buck are going to FAIL.   Yeah yeah, this is BETA, but who cares....it still looks like a 5 year old designed it.  This is another way for some lowbie company to make a few bucks.  We all seen it happen before.  So let me spell this...  IT LOOKS LIKE CRAP, PERIOD.

    Forget the name of it now, but there's MMO creator software that lets you create MMO's to and above that standard shown there, with pre-made environments, avatars, weapons, buildings,etc. You just sort out the fine details. Hence why there's a flourish of this crap appearing with kids jumping on the bandwagon.

    Dunno about everyone else, but when i create something to show someone, i want it to be dam good, it's a pride thing.

    Where do people come up with this crap.  Hell if you don't mind graphics go play Asheron's Call, it has far more polished gameplay.

Question: Can you name a game that looks good and has a storyline that ties into just about every aspect of the game? (Other than LotR, which actually is still kinda graphically crappy, lol.)



    If I wanted to just kill the crap out of everything moving, do quests that have absolutely nothing to do with the storyline, but still manage to look good, I would play WoW. No, I'm not a total WoW basher but it kinda pisses me off that I spent all that time thinking that eventually I would get to something that would get my character involved in the storyline but hardly ever did. *sigh* But I won't start rambling on about that. So can you name a game? I would gladly like to give it a try.

    that screenshot is awesome.  look how realistic the skin looks.  unlike other crappy games like Everquest 2 and Vanguard, this game looks very realistic!

    I was wondering how long it would be before I could actually play David Duchovny in an MMO.. damn i cant wait!

    I didn't even have to look at a screenshot to know this game is utter shite. I took one look at the website which my 12 year old brother could make better, and the spelling it totally poor like some 15 year old chav has did all the text on the site.



    All I can say is...What a load of crap, if this is a wow killer...I will kill myself.

    Here's the rundown on this game.



    For starters, it's made with out of pocket funds by a team of five people. Hence the name "Broke Ass Games."



    The whole thing has been built using the Torque Engine and MMOkit. The project started before Garage Games release the Torque Shader engine and I'd assume that the team decided that they didn't want to spring another $200 for the indie license and Titas, the TSE version of MMOkit. They probably also didn't want to start all over with the new engine either.



    Needless to say, this game is being watched very closely by the indie gaming community. Indie gamers place usually place gameplay and innovation over graphics so we're all very interested to see what the team has done with this idea. Also, there just aren't that many Indie MMOs. We have Sociolotron and Minions of Mirth, but that's about it. Some people count Dofus, but I don't really consider a game that cost three million dollars to make and indie title.



    Obviously, 5 people working out of pocket are not going to make WoW or Vanguard. If you're a total graphics whore that's fine, but remember that this was done by a very small team on an almost non-existent budget. That's pretty damn impressive if you ask me.

    I admit it is quite impressive but at the same time since they do not have much funding there is bound to be mass amounts of hacks, bugs, game errors, bots.cheats. Just warning people out there, good GMs and things that would prevent cheating, cost money.
