    Pretty easy schedule, I"m sure:

9am - arrive at office, begin ignoring posts on forums

9:15 - delete all emails with "pre-CU" in the title

10:00 - head to first of several meetings to discuss who is really in charge

12:00 - quick lunch, while still ignoring all forum posts

1:00 - meeting to review which removed system gets implemented into the game as "new"

    2:00 - play WoW

2:45 - tell team working on current publish how to make game more like WoW

3:30 - meet with QA team about bugs currently in game

    4:00 - bug meeting intermission

4:40 - ask QA team to "sum up" expected bugs of next publish

4:45 - head back to desk, delete more pre-cu emails, and check out forums (for WoW guild, of course).

5:00 - leave star warsy office for comfortable, star warsy home, in stylish, star warsy car.

    Repeat tom.....

    How's my guess?  Close?

Did working with the class beastmaster help them realize the right time to shoot a lame horse?

I like how he treats this as a new profession and heaven forbid he include any ideas from the old creature handler days.

My character still has a full completement of beasties hidden away, wonder if they will ever be usable?

Must be nice living in la la land, completely oblivious.

I'm just wondering, does complaining all the time, none stop, 24/7 make you guys feel better?  I mean certainly you can't be deluded enough to think SOE is gonna bring back pre-cu just cause you do nothing but complain all day.  It's time  you all just say you're final fair wells and move on.  Allow the people that enjoy the game to see a forum post without a single negative "vet" comment in it.  After all, some people actually use these forums when they're having trouble playing the game the love.

And still more come here to try to gain an idea of what this game is life.  The constant negative bombardment doesn't do it any good.  Especially since the game isnt as bad as the "Vets" would have us believe.  Granted, it's still not the greatest mmo out there, but it's fun for a few months or so.  And I know a group of people in Lowca that would say even longer.

Yeah, just like the Vets that complain for no reason, I doubt any of them will suddenly see the light just cause I posted this, but I figure if they're allowed, so am I.

There are folks who actually enjoy this game still? And why should they have a say over those of us who also had accounts in the past (or still do).

The greatest thing this game has done is show other MMORPG makers what not to do. ST:O (sony as well) is very aware of the massive flaws and flaws that turned away massive amounts of players. The only reason this game still has players is because of the star wars name. If this game not have an existing fanbase a was called Nova Conflict it would have been closed already.

When Chapter 6 goes Live, you will be able to convert your pre-nge CH pets into the new BM system.  Alternatively, you'll also be able to convert them into a droppable object if you'd prefer to retire them, but not get rid of them completely.

Lowca? Really? Are my guildhall and 4 outbuildings still lined up NW of Tyrena? They all have names.

Building #1 was named "What do you call..."
Building #2 was named "1000 SWG devs..."
Building #3 was named "At the bottom..."
Building # 4 was named "Of the ocean?"

and my guildhall was named "A good start!"

I left them standing there, empty, 3 years ago. I haven't been back. Go by and pay them a visit.

Yes, there are people that still enjoy this game.  The servers might  not be as full as pre-cu, but they've still got plenty of people left in them.  And the reason they should be allowed to use these forums in peace is simple.  They're paying to use the game still and came here for assistance or just to chill out with other people that enjoy the game as well.

Why should every post placed here become a "We hate SOE" thread?  You don't see me going to WoW or EQ forums and put down those users, despite how I might feel both of those games aren't worth the hard drive they take up.  Yet that's what you guys seem to do on a regular basis.  Come in here and put down people.  I honestly wouldn't be surprised if all you stopped and the subcription rate were to go up, just because instead of new potential players seeing you complain, they'd see the community and feel like giving  it a shot.

SWG is actually a fun game, in small doses.   I had a good guild with good people, I enjoyed the quest, and I definately enjoyed the leveling system which made every gaming session feel like I'd gotten something done besides just dacing in a cantina (granted, the last thing could be fun for some, but I like having some way to judge my progress).

My biggest problem came when I needed help, it took extra long to find it on here as I had to wade through dozens of post that started out to be what I needed, but quickly disovled into a "SWG sucks!".

I wish, and I know this is as likely as a complete return to pre-cu. that the "vets" could at least use the proper forums for complaining and let the fans be.  And if you're certain there aren't any, then don't post at all for alittle while and see for yourselves.  If you're right, no one will post anything at all and the forums till die from lack of activity.  And wouldn't that be a better way to show how you feel?

well perhaps instead of blaming us (vets) for our feelings towards this game, you should start blaming the company for its attitude towards us. and by us i dont mean only veterans but all users. i am really sorry that every thread ends us getting a hate soe thread but i just cant sit back and let them (soe) do whatever they like and just accept it. they ****ed my total experience towards online gaming and for that i will not just sit back and let them be. so next time that someone of you that still enjoy this game, sees one of us that our star wars experience didnt go as planned, perhaps you should start paying attention what happens to your favourite game. because if YOU just accept everything and do nothing when something "weird " happens, the next NGE could make you one of us, whether you like it or not. dont be mindless persons. feedback is good for any company, whether is says bad or good things. if you dont believe that then you should delete your accounts in any forums and just play in your microworld.

I don't think it as hate, more likely scorn.  Especially when the devs act like they are adding a brilliant new feature when they had a much better feature prior to deleting it.

Who's to say that eventually they might get the game to a state better than it was prior to NGE, anything is possible, but not likely.

I did reup in January to see what they had changed.  Not much.  I might try it again when they put this change in.  But I will say the two servers I did play on were barren of players.  Lots of houses still scattered about the landscape.  Mine will be there forever unless they decide to remove houses from non playing accounts.  The player city I was in is a ghost town.  Used to be full of rpers.  Over a 150 buildings just sitting there empty.

I think in the week I played, I did not run into more than 50 players.  One dead server.

The problem is as i stated over and over and over....what you guys (The ones in here who keep hijacking and trashing ALL topics on the news and general discussion) are doing doesn't affect SOE or SWG in the slightest bit.All you are doing is trashing on the people who luckily still do enjoy the game .Yes you don't like the fact what SOE did and you want them to have as less subscribers as possible. But this does not help your "quest", it more looks like you are thinking : Ok so i am mad as hell and feel trashed so i must make the others who kept playing  feel mad and trashed too.

Don't keep taking your grudge towards SOE/SWG out on people who are trying to talk in this part of the forum about new developments and the game in general. We come past the point where most feel sorry for you...this is the part where it starts looking pathetic and sick tbh.You are being verry selfish if i may say so.

your first mistake is that you think we answer these posts for your likes. we dont care what you think about us, we dont do it for your benefit so get over yourself. the second mistake would be to consider this (the answers) a periodic thing. We dont do it because we want to influence you to stop playing this game. we hold you in the same esteem that you hold for us. we do it so that SOE and mmorpg.com will finally understand that they cant keep screwing with people and just expect it to go away. i say again. we dont give a ... about your opinion. its not you that is the target for our messages. and if you think that by wishing that everything will be ok if we just shut the ,,, up you are either 12+ or incredibly naive and stupid. so ... off . i will say what i think about SOE and whoever i like. if i get banned so be it. if you dont like me report me. but unless you come before me with real arguments and not idiotic statements dont bother me again.

You know I think you stated the real thing I'm mad about.  You "vets" don't seem to care about how us, the players, feel.  Your comments just constantly attack the game every chance you get.  I just can't help but feel annoyed at how little you guys seem to consider the real fans of the game.

You can let a comment go by without turning it into a hate war.  It's just a game and more then enough time has gone by to just move on.

Frustration can easily come across as directed hatred when it is not intended.

There are MANY people, gamers and professionals who have legitimate reason to be upset and distraught with the experianced treatment provided by Sony Online Entertainment and Lucas Arts.  Those who continue to accept themselves as consumers of their (SOE and LA) products should be well aware of these occurences and the likelyhood that they will continue to encounter many people who are upset over the unscrupulous activities perputrated by these corporations.

Sony Online Entertainment sucks.  Same with Lucas Arts.  I pitty those who purchase their products as for I will *NEVER* buy anything associated with either company ever again.  (too bad that there could well be some talented employees who's work will be overlooked due to their employers previous actions of fraud)

And I was curious about that new studio which professes a high grade of expertise in sci-fi mmo's that had recently picked up a certain member of the development team which had presented a case to advocate the design and development of "the new game enhancements".  I will be avoiding their future works too due to "Dr. Jeffrey Freeman" being on their team.  :(

p.s. I liked "Green Machines" ideas and direction.  Unfortunately he is an example how others will suffer when they weren't part of the betrayal.

Still you fail to see my point. It could be i didn't explain it in a good way .I know you are not doing it to "get to us"....i know you don't and can't have a negative feeling bout the vets who still are playing , or me for that matter, since we don't know each other. The thing i am trying to bring through is that what you are doing does not affect SOE.

No one from SOE will give a shit about what you are stating here , cause i agree with you that SOE don't give shit about anything but cash tbh.As they won't give a shit about what i have to say.So in the normal swg forums people who still play are trying to "talk" to each other about new features , yeah yeah old features they took out and implement back ,but all they get is the same old trash talk about SOE in any topic they start. So i can understand if you want to talk about how SOE fckd it all up..cause i know they did too and i agree fully , but could you do it in the part that is meant for that , the veteran part of the forum.

I am not an SWG fan , the day SOE goes bankrupt i will be laughing like most of the "haters" , but i do think that trying to ruin it in these forums for other people is not a good thing to do , and that is exactly what you do if you keep on posting the same old in the forum part that is specifically meant for players who still are playing.

I can't stress out enough that i am not a fanboy..i play the game but only 5 hours a week or so these days.I am merely trying to put myself in the position of the people who still on a verry regular basis play the game.

Which studio? I need to avoid their products.

    Thanks

PS: The reason I hate suckwars galicrap is because the dev team told us: ,,l,, if we didn't like anything they did, that they were uber, that we sucked and were stupid and were privileged to play their crappy game.

Then they proceeded to mangle the entire thing from top to bottom. I left just before the first huge wave took 60% of their subscriber base around 3 months into the game. Before the first profession revamp. (Long before NGE.) The stupid jedi unlock garbage had JUST been put into the game when I left. (Poor bastards that farmed those disks. *ouch*)

Like everyone else I had the first skill (I think) on the pet tree and had rancors. (They didn't change the pet-tree until I was ready to quit so just about everyone had pets then.) It makes me laugh that they're putting that back in as something "new".

*shrug* If I still played it'd be like taking a kick in the balls and paying for it.

LA and SOE treated us "vets" like dirt and stomped all over the player base while spitting in our faces. That's why people continue to be pissed off and trash the game.

EQ2 is pretty fun, and I think both the games are worth the harddrive space they take up, but I guess that depends on how much harddrive space you have...  I mean if I were out of harddrive space and it is between WoW and porn I wouldn't even think twice before removing WoW.  Either way, its hard to call yourself noble for not going on WoW and EQ forums to complain about the games...  Neither game has made any major changes....  They both have had plenty of interesting content added to them, especially EQ2, which has improved steadily since its release.    Theres a good reason why you see more people complaining about SWG than other games.

I think this is a shame that SWG has become something for other mmorpgs to avoid copying.  After all, pre-CU SWG had a lot of interesting innovative ideas, many which worked and were very enjoyable.

You know, like tons of different professions along with skill point system that allows you to choose from multiple professions really customizing your character to fit you, entertainer professions, including a profession deticated to changing the way other characters look, great character customization like nothing seen before, the whole HAM system where if you run out of action or mana points you are incapacitated so you have to juggle all three using your skills and attack the enemy according to what their HAM is like and where their skills are heavy, housing with more house customization than even mmos today, player cities including a profession deticated to politics, players vote for their cities mayor ect, dynamic quests where npcs spawn across the galaxy to give out quests at random, the quests been dynamic as well spawning buildings and such where players arent looking and telling players to go kill enemies there for the dynamic quest, the whole TEF/PvP flag system, the whole economy with armorsmith, weaponsmith, architect, tailor branching from artisan, scouting for and harvesting resources by placing harvesting machines over resources which move from area to area dynamically, the split gameplay between avatar and ship combat, the whole customizable space ship thing where you can walk around in a space ship while its in space and dock with other ships, the unique races- actually having the nerve to not allow an entire race to wear armor at all to follow lore- no wookie armor- that was certainly brave and different, and a biggie is the whole jedi thing, the idea of a single uber class that is mysteriously unlocked leaving the swg community confused for over half a year before starting to figure out, then there are vechs that can hold more than one person at a time, mounts that you dismount and they dont magically dissappear but instead follow you around and help you kill enemies, the whole creature handling profession was amazing with tons of different commands for your pet giving you complete control over them, the whole macro creation system, the whole UI system was surprisingly customizable for its time, the way you can go prone or kneel for better accuracy, battle fatigue/wounds that have to be healed by doctors, ect...
