Dont get scared, Im genuinely asking. I wont be there if VIsta is required... simply put, I have yet to see a game that would make me even think of going up (and I just got my computer a few months ago)....

If anyone knows if this will run on XP and not just Vista let me know, cause I couldnt find the input.

I doubt it'll be vista only, As I don't reckon it'll be DX10 only. But we never know and by the time Huxley comes out Vista will be the more stable and also faster OS and its only around £60...

Nah, you don't have to have Vista.  You just have to Have vista if you want to install DirectX 10 to take advantage of the new bells and whistles on the new video cards.  Don't buy vista if you don't care about the new bells and whistles or you don't have a new directX 10 video card.  It will still work fine on XP and DX9... just not as pretty.

I hate vista however I don't want to turn this into a "I HATE VISTA THREAD".

Huxley will have to be one heck of a good game for me to want to switch to vista. (IF I HAD TO) On my cookie cutter prefab PC when I bought it from best buy came with vista pre-installed. Moreover I couldn't buy or for that matter find a new PC from best buy that DIDN'T HAVE VISTA ON IT. When I got it home about a week after I bought it windows vista was basically telling me that I would have to close all programs and run validation program. Well it was a mess. I had to install SEVERAL patches just to let vista or whatever that my copy of Vista was genuine. Plus everythings different on vista. There is no CLASSIC XP MODE or anything. Also appearently the add/remove programs idea isn't in vista. (although there is probably a program in windows thats similar to add/remove programs WHY MAKE IT DIFFERENT). Also my computer was running REALLY SLOW for what it is.

Well I had to do some CMOS tweeking but I finally got rid of Vista and was able to get my mainboard to successfully recognize my old xp installation disks. The only problem I have now is that I bascially have to format the hard drive and reinstall XP every 30 days because of  windows activation. ( I installed it on my other computer but once you install a copy of windows on a machine and register it ... than thats it ... its only for that one computer and not for another one. Even if the other computer is destroyed/not working etc.)

So I love my XP and my system is pretty fast compared to the celeron I was using. Oh and btw...

    I HATE VISTA.

Grr there is nothing wrong with vista whatsoever. It's whole design is to let game developers use less code and eliminates the bottlenecks they had in graphics. The problems we are all seeing with vista is the lazy ass hardware/game  developers that havn't implemented vista into there plans.Vista has been available to all the bigshots at least 6mnths before it even hit the shelves.

Even if webzen does there part streamlining code and utilizing dx10 abilities,i doubt nvidia will have a properly working[certified] driver and for SLI users they admitted it may take a very long time.I doubt SLI will be useable for this game, but who knows still time before the projected summer release.

Sorry to hear you had problerms with vista ceylous.I had the same validation process on my computer however i didn't have any problems  whatsoever.Just so you know there is the ability to set a game or whatever to play in xp mode win2k mode win 95 mode if you so desire.Just rclick the exe for your program and click properties. Then there is a compatibility tab to wich you can make whatever selection you wish. Please don't get distraught with VISTA it's the first time microsoft has actually made anything worthy of an upgrade.Eventually when all the developers are making use of it,everyone will want VISTA and love it.
