GMs ruin their own game

I have played alot of online games,but only at space cowboys i saw GMs to favor some players openly,just because they want to play it gods.They interfere at players gameplay,they ban and mute players when they express their opinion about the unfairness, but they don't do anything against players that abuse skills,and many other aspects of the game.They remove posts at their forums that they don't like them and the list goes on. They have rules that they expect people to follow but they permit to a few to bypass,only cause they are paying more money from the others.GMs at SpaceCowboys don't even follow the rules that they have set for themselves.
Don't start this game,unless you have no problem seeing that everything that you do to achive something,will be destroyed if the GMs has a different opinion about it,even though you play by the book.They decide who wins and who loses and they interfere in game making anything that they can to achive this.

I have played this game as well as many many others and I would have to say that the story is a little bigger than the GM's picking on people for no real reason, but I think that the person that started this post should tell the full story and not just one part of a small part of the story.
I have had nothing but good service from the GM's in this game and although at times it does suffer from lag the general game play is good for a game that cost nothing to play. I have also yet to see the GM's favour one person over another, but then again I am not online 24/7..
The general community in this game is friendly and there is nearly always something going on in the war against the other nation.
I would suggest that people give this game a try, and although you start off slow and with nothing it doesn't take long to gain strength and in game money known as SPI (free and gained by killing mobs, selling weapons etc droped by mobs etc etc).

On this very site (mmorpg.com) there is a forum dedicated to a space based MMO. And if you pop over and read it you will see that it is full of allegations, some which have been admitted to by the developers, of the GMs and Devs, helping a particular group of players.
There is also a thread from a fanboi saying that it happens in other named games too.

If you want to see all recent abuses from the GM, do a search and you will find out. Be extra careful when your are trying to voice your opinion on their forums. They love to ban for 13 years. He loves it.
Yeah,the post title speaks for the game.
I started playing SCO for 2 months. At first it was ok,lvling my i-gear was fast and easy,except from the fact that the lag was awful,even though i have a 4Mb/256 adsl connection with a power user's pc with 2 Gforce 7800 cards. The game is free which i like it,but you have the option to buy gpotatos, to buy cool stuff from their shop. I did too,trying to fix some missiles. But after spending about 100$ to gain a good prefix-suffix,i see to my surprise that they nerfed those missiles (they weakened their stats) which made them crappy. So actually i have spent my money for nothing. I read the posts and saw that they do it all the time (adding weapons and take them away after a while) with the excuse "to keep the game balanced". If they want to keep the "balance" why they put it in game in the first place? This game is the english version of Ace Online, they know how the weapons are and how much damage they can do ,not to mention their effect to game balance.
I also bought a membership kit which gives you power ups to lvl faster, but it was in no use,cause of the lag. It is not fun trying to hit a monster,then the missiles freeze and after 15 secs you find yourself dead. What a waste of money.
As for the GM's,i will agree that they are not people to trust. Why i am saying this? When a nation shoot down another's nation mothership,they gain 2x exp bonus for 2 hours. When my nation (ANI) did that we got our 2x exp bonus for 30mins cause the servers should be under maintenance for 2 hours. Our leader asked the GM (GM Xarfox) if we could have the 2x exp bonus he said yes,but after the maintenance he said "no,this cannot be done,you should have planned it better".
These days patch servers are down,which don't allow people to connect and play the game.The GMs found that out after 2 days and their own reply is that "we know the problem, we try to fix it".There has been 4 days and the problems still remain. Thanks to some players though,a solution was found,an unofficial one, which helped alot of players to connect to the game.
This game it maybe seem cool and interesting but having all these problems make it no fun at all.
I feel sorry that i have spent 2 months of my life and my money to this company and game. This is the worst game i have ever played
