Just wondering which class dies the least and has the most survivablity(like an escape tactic like hiding or using fear on an opponent, assuming those states are in this game).
They get an insane +50% evasion buff that lasts like 30 seconds wich basically makes them invulnerable. They get normal stealth (invisibility). Also, they have an escape skill that makes them invisible and can be used during combat. If a burgler doesnt want to hang around there is nothing you can do to stop him from taking off.
You know if the classes are balanced it should boil down to player talent and not inherent class advantage... I only played 4 classes through the starter areas but they all seemed about the same from a survivability standpoint, however I acknowledge that the starter area is probably not representative of the entire game.

Huntn makes a valid point... "if the classes are balanced it should boil down to player talent" Even with class inbalance, player style has a lot to do with dieing or NOT.

Since when are classes ever balanced in an MMO?
Exactly, the guy asked which class had the most survivabilty. Even when it is balanced people kill at a different ratio. The loremaster gets a pet, he can cast heals, cast crowd controlling spells, and he can dual wield at sword and staff at higher levels. Now that is survivability.

I like Loremaster and Champion. Loremaster casts heals? I don't remember those. Maybe at higher levels?

I believe you get them fairly early. I think it is on like a 20 or 30 second cooldown as well. I remember fooling around during the beta and just letting my bear tank something while I would let him get low on health and then cast a heal on him.
I think all classes are pretty good in terms of survivablity, as long as you play them right and realize that none can really pull 5 same level mobs and survive solo. (Well a few classes could, but Turbine seems to be trying to nerf that out of the game atm)

I'm kind of inclined to think Burglar as well, for a couple reasons. Mostly they can stealth-solo when they want, have lots of CC, but aren't massive aggro generators in groups compared to the other classes.
Though a lot of classes get a short duration/long recharge semi-invulnerability buff like the 50% evasion. Captains have a brief defeat immunity and Guardians get a 40% buff to block and parry.
I was just soloing my level 15 minstrel testing the profit margin for that level and his self heal and knowing when retreat is the better part of valor serves him well. I had a second yellow add halfway through a fight and walked away with3/4 of my morale. No power but plenty of morale. He had to beat feet once though when he picked up 3 yellows at once.
I don't think there is such a thing as a wimp class, just play whichever style you enjoy and you should be fine.
I donno if I was just palying hunter ... not to its fullest but... during the beta before the last wipe my hunter KICKED ASS... enemies would usually die before they could get to me... with the help of trap... but now, hunter seems much weaker or something. I used to love soloing with the Hunter now I'm playing a Champ and he's been dishin out pain left and right. I'm still trying out the classes though.
Why do I write, create, fantasize, dream and daydream about other worlds? Because I hate what humanity does with this one.
