in Lord of the Rings Online
just wandering where someone like myself in canada could preorder at, and if i did preorder from this place how long does it take to get your preorder key..and any other details about the pre order process would be appreciated     ty.

    You can pre-order from EB Games. I'm not sure where you are, but there's bound to be an EB Games somewhere near you. Its the Mcdonald's of gaming.

    Now, when you pre-order you're given a pre-order package...Not positive on whats in it, but, you will get a Beta Installation cd, and your pre-order key. In case you haven't seen what's included when you pre-order....You're put in the 'Founder's Club', which gives some pretty cool stuff really. For example, you pay $5 less per month than anybody else, you can join the beta on the 30th (it is the 6th for everybody else), and Founders Club people get to continue using their beta characters at release.

    If there's ever a game to pre-order, this would be it, lol. I haven't done it myself, not sure if I will be playing, but, I'm thinking about it.

    The way pre-orders work, from EB Games, anyways, is IRC, a $5 up front payment. When the game comes out, you'll be able to go to that store and pick it up. Im pretty sure that the $5 does not count towards the final purchase...so its like an added service charge. This might have changed though.

     

    EDIT - Seriously, what is up with EB Games. There are FOUR of them in my immediate area, two within walking distance, the other two are a 5-10 minute drive, and there could be more that I'm forgetting. They are everywhere.

    problem is that there is no ebgasmes or any other game store close to me  closest is 200 km away

    I would go over to the official forums for LotRO and see what they have to say over there. It is early in the morning(at least where I live) but I have noticed that the forums are a bit slower during this time of the day.

    I walked in and pre-ordered.

    They didn't have discs so I phoned EB Games Canada and they emailed me the code.

    Then EB games got the discs in.

    Now I have one of those too.
