    I saw it last night...I don't care what any hardcore history or pirate buff says, these movies are good fun.

    Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.

    I wasn't a big fan of the first movie, so when I finally decided to get around to seeing the second one, I wasn't that excited. I thought it was a much better movie, pretty funny and great graphics. I'm looking forward to seeing the third.

    I think it looks worse than the second one actually.

    I LOVED the first one but the second one just seemed like they tried too hard. All the jokes were pretty corny and just really wasn't all that entertaining. Plus, the fact that it had no ending and this is JUST NOW COMING OUT kinda kills it for me as well.

    The first one seemed whole and fresh while the second seemed fractured and rushed.

    I expect the 3rd to be better than the second but worse than the 1st.

    Does this Trilogy remind anyone else of the Matrix Trilogy? Not just because the 2nd and 3rd were filmed back-to-back but just the overall quality?

    I was going to point out the original Star Wars trilogy as another example but the second(5th) movie was much more structured and seemed very smooth compared to Pirates 2 and Matrix 2.

     

    Lastly, is there any truth to the '"news" I've heard that another Trilogy is forthcoming? I have my doubts mainly due to the fact I can't see Depp staying around for 3 more, but $ is $ to these studios and more often than not it steers actors as well.

    Looks amazing... The fight with Jack and Davy Jones on top of the mast will be the ultimate bad-ass fight.

    I would just like a nice movie with lots of action to see.  It seems that the tales of jack sparrow seem to be very colorful that is for sure.  I am wondering just how far they think they can take this series before it crashes badly.

    I loved Star Wars!  There are more movies now which is confusing but good when you see all the movies in a row.  I remember seeing my first star wars in a drive in theater.

    Looks to be much better then PotC 2, which was a bit disappointing after the first.

    The reason 2 & 3 aren't as good, though, is that they never intended to do a sequel, or sequels, so the original script to PotC was just a one off thing that they had to sort of shoehorn in 2 and 3 too.

    My friend that performs as a pirate at ren faires informs me that they are planning for a 4th film, but I don't see them doing another trilogy. Though, if there's money to be had, I suppose they'd do it anyway.

    The effects have always been good. But here some of the shots looked really fake Looks like they kinda took it to far, and aren't able to deliver. The ship in the desert looked baaad.



    But I guess the movie will probably be quite fun, and some good entertaiment. But no classic

    nice trailer.  and perhaps movie/tv studios will see the value of youtube now,  look at all that free advertising.

    I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.
