I need help finding a mmorpg to play

I dont know if this is the right place but I'm looking for a mmorpg that has lots to do, you have a choice to go to where people can attack others, or at least get the choice of being able to be attacked somehow, kinda like runscape, except I want it to have its own client download thing. oh and free is a plus too, but not necessary message me back

    Guild Wars.

    Have to pay for the Client (Retail Box), but after that is no charge and meets all your requirements.

    For pure Free Client - Free To Play  :  Anarchy Online for a more traditional MMORPG.

    oh yeah by the way, games where I buy the game too are good, like diablo, but still the other aspects

    Guild Wars from retailers or online sellers (Amazon.com is the one I use; fast and reliable - no spam).
