I was just thinking and had one of those what if moments. What if you could put the best ideas from each game in just one game what would they be?

Of course this is totally up to each persons preference and playing style but still it's more of an interesting way to spend one's time other than bashing games we don't like.

Here are ideas and concepts I would take from other games and why:

For PvP I would most definetly take Dark Age of Camelots system. Free for all has a tendency to destroy new players interest and they give up quickly if they are constantly being killed. DAoC avoided this by having open realm areas that all the factions could fight in or if they so chose to avoid. They also gave players a reason to fight for their side. This is something most games that have PvP in them seem to miss in their planning.

For Quest I would go with Everquest. There was a reason it was called Everquest. They had a very good storyline and the questing was fun. The grind sucked but the actual questing was fun to do in the game.

For instancing I would without doubt choose Anarchy Online. Not only did you get to pick how hard the instant missions were but also you could choose your reward if you completed the mission.

For Character Generation, hands down City of Heroes. For the life of me I can not see why other games refuse to put into a game what so many ask for which is the ability to make your character unique. City of Heroes did this right!

For PvE I found Everquest 2 to be quite good. Not so hard as to be impossible to solo but hard enough to make you think before you attacked. DAoC also had a very fun PvE style.

For balance I give the nod to Guildwars. They seem to have made a game where each class is viable either solo or in a group. This alone is the one thing that seems to be just beyond most game makers reach.

And finally we reach graphics. On this one it's just a matter of personal taste in art styles. Having said that I prefer games that lean more towards realism. For games that are out now I like the graphics of  Vanguard, EQ2 and City of Heroes. For games that are coming out I really like the looks of Huxley and when Eve implements it's avatar upgrade that also looks quite good from the videos I have seen of them. Again this category is the most personal one with each persons taste varying greatly.

I would enjoy seeing what others would take from various games. I realise that I am opening up the door for some to trash games they don't like but please keep in mind that these are just my opinions of what I would take from other games and they are most certainly not what others would like so please keep it lighthearted because that's what I intended this thread to be, a good read and a way to see through others eyes what they liked most from different games they have played.

In the end WoW wipes them up and eats them for the AO  II ekKIM sEAN PAUL! ooo yea for breakfast. WE can live in denile all we want but WOW is the game where you battle the the evil archimonde one last time in the epic battle for MT hyjal where thrall/malfurion/tyrande/jaina all stand with you as you battle the demonic crusade for control of the world tree. As you push them back they still move forward Wiping out countless orcs/elves/humans. As archimonde dominates and finnally reaches the world tree there is only one thing left to do...
