I want this car...

I am a huge fan of Mitsubishi. There is no denying that. Ever since they regained control of their car company and started a major re-design, I have seen nothing but good come out of them.



Endeavor

Eclipse

Raider

Evolution



and now the all new Lancer. The new Lancer is by far the best looking small car to date, in my opinion.









My only problem now is should I go with the eco-friendly Pzev with only 143 hp, or should I wait a year and get the 200-225 hp Ralliart version? The new Evo, also coming out next year, would be my first choice but thats priced way beyond me means at 30-35k.

    Lancers are the only Mitsu's I really like. I can't stand the Eclipse.

    I don't like their shifters though. They are really small and hard to manipulate. Like in my car ('06 Honda Civic), the stick is freaking huge. I can hit any gear I want with no problem. Where as the lancer has this little bitty thing totally covered in that protective leather with a little bitty ball on top.

    They put in 4 extra gerbils. And I think he had a typo...its 200 RP (rodent power).

    Just kidding. I like Minis. They are cool looking little cars. I'll take a RUF 911 over it anyday.

    I'm also a fan of Mitshubishi, with good reason, seeing as my Dad works at the local plant here. He drove a black Camaro until he bought a Lancer evolution. I love seeing how many people openly stare at this car.

    The new Lancer starts at $13,990 I believe. I actually saw one today at the Mitsu dealership down here. It looks better in person.



    Mazda used to have the best small car in the Mazda3, but I think Mitsu may take that trophy, especially with all the options this car is offering. I still can't decide whether I want to take the plunge and nab one of these cars or wait until the Ralliart version which doesnt even have a release date yet.



    P.S. The Lotus isn't in the small car segment.

    Wait for the higher HP version.   Wow...lots of sport import fans on this board?  Any of you into modding?   Look at this sweet MR2.  They did an article on it in Modified awhile back.  Just awesome.

    Subaru's are nice. No denying that, however the current Mitsu Evo will beat an Impreza WRX STI. Unless there is any serious modding. The new Evo coming out in a year can beat it as well. Thats not to say the new Impreza won't bow us all away though. Subaru is supposed to release everything about it at the NY Auto Show. Can't wait.



    Also I hear rumours that Subaru is phasing out the Impreza WRX, and just going with the regular Impreza and Impreza STI. Thatd suck.

    I want to start getting into modding, but in all thruth I dont know where to start. None of my friends are really into cars like I am, and those that are also don't know how to mod.

But then, an evo 8 with similar mileage would be around 5-6k more, and for just a fraction of a second to 60 quicker, i just don't think it's worth it. I must admit I do love the look of evo's. But, then, I love the SOUND of scoobies.



    From what I've seen, Subaru are bringing out a 'hatchback' type subaru. They're getting alot of flack from the hardcore saloon loving fans.
