Carl's Jr. New Sandwich

I went to Carl's Jr. last night  I got the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, large fries and diet coke and wow was it a good meal, and very filling. It was a bit pricey(almost 10 bucks), but none the less was still very good. This particular burger had a very tasty chicken and had a bit of a different taste than the "other" burger joints. So I would highly recommend this place for you to go every once in a while, but don't make it a habit cause it is very fattening.

Hurry up.... Clock is ticking

    interesting story.

Why are you worried about the fat content of your meal? You should be worried about what's inside your diet coke..... aspartame

Jeez 10 bucks huh? Are you sure you didn't walk into a movie theater by accident? wow....

I think Carl's Jr. has always been the most expensive fast food. At least around where I live. I've tried that sandwich and I thought it was pretty good. The only thing I didn't like was that they put ranch dressing on it. I know everyone serves buffalo wings with ranch, but it just doesn't go together for me.

Carl's Jr. also has the messiest sandwiches to eat. One of their recent catch phrases was "If it doesn't get all over the place, it doesn't belong in your face." They really mean it too.

I wonder if they would do blue cheese instead of ranch. I love the taste of those two together. Some of the pizza places around here did a Buffalo Chicken Pizza with blue cheese... That was really good.

I like how you go eat a 1000 calorie meal with huge fat content, and order a diet coke.

If you're going to screw up that badly, you might as well enjoy the real thing.

I know a lot of people use that joke, but I personally like the taste of Diet Coke much more than 'regular'.

I always drink Rootbeer so no diet option for me at most restraunts and 10 bucks?! Gah I only spent 6.25 for a Combo with ultra size!

Methinks my local Carls Junior is cheap though because I hear people say that all the time when Im in there. Im addicted to the Westren Bacon Cheeseburgers! Not to mention the Crunchy Chicken Ranch.. Actually.. Im hungery now..

Damn....that sandwhich kicks ass. Yes Hardee's (Its called Hardees on the east coast and northern mid-west) is expensive, but the servings are much bigger. Their smallest thick-burger is the size of a double whopper.

Gotta enjoy yourself sometimes, you cant go through life paranoid that every little thing you eat is gonna kill you, or lower your life expentency by 5 years.

Personally I can't stand Buffalo Chicken or any type of Buffalo sauce to the point that I damn near throw up anytime I try to eat something like it. However I never let a monthly fast food new menu item fade out before I try it and I found I could actually eat the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. I actually like it quite a lot. I don't think I have ever had a bad meal at Carl's Jr. They are pricey, but when you go medium on the fries and drink(let alone large) they give you twice-3 times as much than you get elsewhere. Health wise this is bad but hunger wise and value wise it is good. If only the bastards would bring back the western chicken sandwich. Since I converted to chicken over beef at these places I have a hard time enjoying fast food burgers.

Those of you without a CJ, Sonic Drive-In, or Popeye's chicken really miss out. Course we don't have a White Castle here. or an In-and-Out.

About a month ago I went to Carl's because I wanted to try that Philly Cheesesteak burger...I'm a big fan of all things Cheesesteak, but that burger was disapointing.  It didn't have very much meat, or cheese, and was mostly just bun...It was the first time in about 15 years that I had eaten from Carl's Junior, and it will probably be the last.

ps.  I pay $8.35 at Jack in the Box for a Spicy Chicken, two tacos, seasoned curly fries, and a rootbeer(medium)  That's way more food than you get from Carl's

I've always thought Hardeez and Carl's JR. sucked. Their breakfasts were the best though. But the burgers just always seemed to be full of low quality ingredients.

Yea, cat meat is preety good for bang-for buck, which is why Jack-in-the-Box is only about 30% of the empire it was 20 years ago. Remember the 80s.

I was over exagerating there a little bit, but basically...Back in the early 90's a few people died and tons got sick from eating undercooked food from Jack-in-the-Box, food was contaminated by e-coli. Before the incident Jack-in-the-Box cooked all its meat rare, instead of well, I guess it was a sence of uniqueness. A bunch of places closed down, and its tiny east coast presence basiacally dissapeared. Little pass around joke was they were caught using cat meat, its not true though.

I remember that. :( They had a Guacamole Burger at the time and my parents wouldn't let me eat it. :( That thing was awesome.

Even today when I hear Jack-n-the-Box I think about that ecoli though. That may be because I haven't lived in a Jack area since I was 8 though.

I like the guacomole $6 or the jalepeno $6. There's always a line in In and Out, so I have to make due in Hardees (also known as Carl's Jr.). and I already tried the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich.. It really taste good.

    Good Day...

I'm suprised. I have gotten it twice and each time it was loaded with meat and cheese. This is the main reason I didn't get it a 3rd time. I personally like my burgers tangy(Pickles/Mustard/Ketchup) and with lots of vegetables.

Jack-in-the-Box did a smart thing during this "crisis" though.  Instead of sitting on their hands and riding out the backlash against them, they actually openned up more locations and kept pushing forward despite decreased profits.  Once they finally got back on track, they were doing better business in more locations.  I still remember the commercial that let people know that jack was back:

He had a boardroom full executives that he blew up!!  This commercial got a bad rap but people liked it and got Jack-in-the-Box back in the forefront of people's minds.

And as I have said before there is no logical nor nutritional reason to order 2 tacos from there, but I have never ever been able to resist eatting them.  They are SOOO BAD, but they are SOOO GOOD.

    1) In n' Out

    2) Jack-In-The-Box

    3) Sonic

    4) Carl's Jr. (Food is decent but I boycot them because I absolutely hate their commercials with a passion.  I did not eat there for 2 years just because of the comercials)
