What is and whats not Spam?

Um I would post this in another forum but this site is p***ing me off! I can't even leave that rules thread and I'd read it before I created this account!

So whats Spam and whats not spam.. I'm a Newb at this and don't want to get banned or someting... and I want to post screen shots of a mmorpg... Would that consider spaming? Its my favorite screen shots of this mmorpg I really like. And I want MMORPG.com to use them becuase their current one sucks as hell...

    My understanding of spamming (in terms of forums), specific to your question:

    Posting the same screenshot in a bunch of different forums is spam.

    Posting a different screenshot with a link to the same site in many different forums is spam.

    Posting each screenshot in it's own thread in a single forum is spam.

    in a brittish accent-'spam for breakfast, spam for lunch, spam for dinner, and spam to drink' living can be harsh, so dont waste your food on boring recipes, add spam and you can one day rule the world!!!::::15::(spam may cause bleeding nose, constapation, diarea, acute symtons of noiscau, headache, interjestion,diabetes, cancer, and in some cases, death. spam is not for everone, eat responibly)

    Spam is basically doing anything in excess, to put it simply. If you have your own screenshots of really neat things you've experienced in a game that were taken by yourself, go ahead and show everyone!

    Please have the screenshots in a JPEG (.jpg) format to make it easier for people to load the pictures when they see them in your posts. Having a big honking .png or .bmp takes a while for people to load, especially when they are on dial-up.

    This would be how we would define it:

    a) posting to promote your own web site or products and services

    b) posting the same thing more than once

    c) posting something of absolutely no point or purpose

    d) posting out of topic, for example "look at my new car, it rocks!" should not go in "General MMORPG Discussion"

    Please note we do have a SPAM Forum that will enable you to spam to a general degree.

    For instance Part C of what the head honcho said can be done in the SPAM Forum. Believe me we've had people use it ;)

    Just don't start 20 different threads bragging about the game you like and posting screen shots all over the place, and you'll be ok.

    What game is it btw? I'm curious, and I want to see the screen shots. Lol, I just got a good idea. A screen shot contest, but if memory serves me right, it has been done before at this site. Has it?

    Its up to you p. You could post them on this thread, but I would start another thread. Just mention you're a new mmorpg.com member, this is the mmorpg you like, here are some great screen shots, does anybody eles play, and if you do, do you have some cool screen shots. Just be prepared to receive some negative posts from peeps that might not like the same game you do.
