    I agree.  This is a great game.  I just d/l the trial on saturday and played all day.  Tremendous fun after I figured out the basics.  I figured it warranted 30 bucks, so I bought the 5 year edition on Sunday and the graphics are MUCH better than the trial client for anyone who is wondering.

     

    You know, I've read some comments about bad community in this game, but everyone I've run into has been as nice as can be.  Imagine that.  Anyway, anyone got any sound advice for a complete newbie?

    I'm trying daoc out when the trail is downloaded too - i need something to play while waiting for warhammer.

    Is it possible to buy daoc online?

    Yepp, once you downloaded and installed the trial , just edit you account and choose whatever expansions you would like to add to you account.

    In my opinion, DAOC was one of the best MMO's made. I was a tester for five years on/off but me and the wife just completely burnt the game out. The hard part now is numbers but there are still some folks wandering around that will help you. If you are new to the game, there is a lot to play through. However, the last two expansions really had major graphical updates and the game is very beautiful. As I said however, we just burnt ourselves out on the game.

    Got tired of RVR, so decided to play on Mordred, I'm having some of the best fights ever, which can also lead to some very frustrating moments too. It's fun fighting friends on there, when WAR Online comes out, definately gonna roll on the PVP server. :D



    Been playing DAOC on and off since 2001, and I agree, it's a fantastic game.

    I haven't been able to try out the new Archerchanges yet or the new bounty items, but it sure looks interesting.

    Got to love this game! :)

    I advice everyone to try it.
