What I like about Darkfall

Darkfall will weed out all the 12 year old WoW fanbois.  Lets face it without levels telling them who is higher and lower than they are they won't know their ass from their mouse.  It's funny to watch these kids write things like "how do you know who can beat who in a PvP match, I don't want to play a game if I don't know who's a stronger PvP player".  DF will take us back to old school UO and chase these damn kids out of the game LOL.

    Agreed. If DF does what it says it will do, it will bring out the true PvPers and probably bring back a lot of veteran gamers who haven't played since UO pre-ren.

    I  been following DF for along time now about 6 years i think i read something about it all skill .

    I  think df will be a very good game almost real as far as skills and weapon wear out and so on !

    This game here is not just pvp but Freedom if you know what i mean.

    Battles that can last long even if your noob fighting someone that been playing .

    This is going to be the hit and move game i been waiting for sence i started play mmos!

    DF will get the players that want to put some real feeling into a MMO, not just time.

    I hope that DF will educate a lot of the people who got their feet wet with WoW, as how how MMORPG's were origionally played, before the whiners got their way in UO.



    Imagine getting a couple million people in DF... sweet sweet chaos.

    Some dude wrote on the DF hype-meter: How could PvP work without levels/classes? Think of you attack a "high" lvl??

     

    Talk about making himself sound dumb, he havent understand anything

    I think there are alot of people interested in Darkfall that remain silent for various reasons. But I can guarantee that once a date is set for beta, there will be a surge of activity here and on the official Darfall forums...

    What I like about darkfall is that it's been in development for so long now that it'll probably either exceed my expectations or not even come close and just stay in it's perpetual development cycle for the next 10 to 20 years.

      All those 12 year old kids thatt play wow that you hate so much will be like 19 by the time this game comes out.  I agree , I dislike alot of the immature  acts of mmo players, but to lable them all as "12 year old kids" not fair. there are many younger players that are way more mature than older players.  I hope DF lives up to its expectations , but I won't get to hyped up till its out.

    I second this Logan. And to add to this, I say that if there were these 12yr olds he says, then maybe DF would be out already, instead being 7yr old Scotch.. errr Vaporware :p
    And since we are into this, may I ask indeed, with no labels how do you know who is who in that game? I honestly find this question very sincere tbh...

    I've played almost every major mmog from UO thru EQ2 and WoW and i'm tired of the huge impersonal corporate mmogs.

    What I'm looking for now is a small, immersive, intimate mmog with rich content that i can lose myself in... with a mature, active, dedicated, stable fanbase... run by a company that cares about the gameworld as much as they do about making money.

    Yeah that's all i want. 

    Honestly, even though i consider myself an extremely hardcore mmog'r, out of all the blockbuster titles coming out soon the only other one that seriously interests me is Age of Conan, becasuse it seems to have the same traits mentioned above.  I'm still reserving judgement on LotRO - on the one hand i luv LotR but i'm skeptical that Turbine can pull it off.

    Oh i'll check out PotBS but the genre really doesn't appeal to me, and i do want to see what Richard Garriott did with Tabula Rasa but it seems to be 90% a fpsmmog. 

    Everything else is just same old same old. 

    Save us DF!  You're our only hope!

    an assenine post by an assenine player. Do yourself a favor and WAIT till the damn game comes out-- if it ever comes out -- before making far fetched claims. I'm sure you also thought Dark and Light and Vanguard was going to be a WoW killer too huh? lol!

    Look, I'm waiting for a new game to come out as well as I'm getting tired of the crap game companies are coming out with. But I have enough sense to not start throwing insults and making pathetic generalizations about players without even having something solid to back my statements. For all I know, this game could end up being Vaporware, or worse, another Dark and Light.

    It is true, that this game is fine and all but the DF community is amongst the most detestable.These people are so delusional to the point where they believe their own trolls(and thats what they do all day, troll, they can't really speculate/talk about the game since there is so little info).For instance they believe DF is the second coming of Jesus his fucking self, they think that, in this day and age graphics don't matter, and truth be told..in these times..when a game looks as dated as DF, the only possible user base it has a chance of getting a hold of  is the 40yo men who still live in their mothers basement, the 40yo men who post on these same forums shouting "CAREBEAR" every time they get a chance.



    The community will be the downfall of DF(given it ever sees the light of day).



    Also for some weird reason they seem to believe AoC is as instanced as GW.

    I am very excited about darkfall as well.  I am hoping that all the rapists go to play this so I can finally play a game without being constantly tormented about being a "Carebear" because I don't enjoy getting ganked constantly by 7 players 60 lvls above me.  This game can't come out soon enough.  Give the rapists darkfall so the rest of us can play other games in peace.

    Darkfall =     PERIOD.. nothing else really needs to be said about it.. should it come out within my lifetime and i get the chance to go on you fools.   AC and UO set the tone for this game to be one of the best things to ever hit the market.. As far as PVP goes.. GW is for nubs and WoW is for hippies and time wasting, no life having, skill-less, one hot-bar using, dungeon runners, who's only accomplishment in life is tiering out. When you have more pieces of armor than friends you live within 20 miles of.. something is wrong.

    For me It is either this or WAR. I will try both games out when they are released but to be quite honest Darkfall is my ideal MMO. With its features it will weed out most of the people who cant handle full loot PvP systems. Thank god that there is a MMO in development that makes death something to actually care about (repair costs mean NOTHING). A lot of these features will actually hurt the game imo as far as subscribers go, but I'm fine with them not playing. I'm tired of all the "ghosting" through other characters in PvP. It's about time someone does a next-gen MMO right.
