ive been around the block of mmos a few times SWG, WoW, GW, Coh/CoV, an i have yet to find a great experience. ive been thinkin for awhile between FF XI an DAoC but there are certain things that delayed my choices. With FFXI i heard soloing is all but impossible an it takes forever to do anything, PvP is all but nonexistant from what i hear, an you only get one char. with DAoC its kinda old so im afraid that there will be no people to play with, i heard its realatively top heavy with no low levels to play with, an i heard it became a nerfapalooza of sorts with the classes. although when it comes to FFXI i know people who play it, you can switch classes on the fly, theres sub-classing, and apparently when you can actually get a coherrent group its really fun. an DAoC has RvR (which is a big plus), they have an awesome selection of classes, the classic servers are apparently fun, an i heard its a great game. now for some reason my comps bein retarded with the free 14 day download so ide just like your opinion. Is DAoC worth it for someone to join an start playin or should i keep lookin. all opinions would be appreciated. thank you.

Hello and welcome to the daocboards!
If you choose to try it out, and you want plenty of people to play with make sure it's the US-version you are trying out, you can get it here: US-DAoC
The moste populated servers are the classic-servers, you can read more about that in some of the older posts below.
You will notice that there are 3 classic servers, but it dosen't really matter wich one you choose since they are clustered(shareing mosts zones) nowdays.
I started playing on the US-servers 2 months ago, and I think the population isn't declining anymore I get the feeling that it's increasing instead. At peakhours about 3000 players play DAoC on the classic cluster.
My advice is to try it out, and give it some time!
