im really intrigued on what mmo people find best for the casual gameplayer. i use to play mmo's alot when i had more time on my hands, and i wish i still could but thats just not the case. i like pvp games mainly because they r less involved, but i used to play alot of RFO and ffxi which i got really in to and reached 75. wut are the best games now for someone who only wants to play like weeknds or an hour a day?

alright thanks alot for the help, i think i'll go try the open beta now, if anyone else has any suggestions for games that don't require intense amounts of involvement to enjoy please let me know
World of Warcraft is your best bet, it really opened up the casual gamer market.
Guild Wars might be another one to try for very good team-based PvP and so-so PvE. No monthly fee but it's not really what most would consider a true MMORPG since it doesn't have a huge persistent world.
If you want a simple hack and slash game Dungeon Runners has free invites through MMORPG.COM. Don't expect much, the game is going to be free to play.
Some of the new generation of games are following WoW and trying to be more playable and less mind-numbing timesinks. LotRO will probably be one, you might keep and eye out for two upcoming games - Warhammer Online and Age of Conan. Edit - Pirates of the Burning Sea also sounds interesting and possibly casual-friendly. And you get to talk like a pirate!
And if you ever see a game called Dark and Light turn around and run away screaming as fast as you can. There are rumors of free access play, just run away. Quickly.
As far as pay to play games go, EvE , because most of what develops your character abilitys are real life time training (which you can be logged off for).
It easy to get money and equiped too, and its not easy to leanr everything, but just take it one step at a time, and if ya have any question about it pm me.
