    Hehe yea sux quite a lot. Tho they're having their own Beta sign ups for Euro's at the beginning of June so maybe by that time mmorpg.com can have euro drawing aswell.

    Don't confuse the legalities associated with a contest run by an external website with our policy on the beta as a whole. We stated that people from other countries could apply and be accepted, and we meant it. If sites doing contests like this (and there will be more of them) impose legal limitations, that is a separate issue entirely from the people we'll be accepting from the beta applications we took on our website.

    Update from SOE: contest is now only open to people 18+ years old image 

    My apologies for those who will be forced out becuase of this.  One rep at SOE did not mention this and the lawyers just informed us that it is 18+ only.  EQ2 has not been "rated" yet so they cannot permit minors into beta until then.

    Well at least you wont have to worry about paying for the cd/ship fees.  Verant's beta of SWG, made you pay to just test.

    Hopefully they discontinue that trend...

    I feel kinda bad for the people below 18 that cant sign up becuase of crazy people that blames for child violence.

    Its neglect, harassment, and abuse that creates violence not some video game (if anything video games alleviate stress).

    I mean have you guys seen those websites against games? They act like cildren are clueless sometimes lol

    Video games teach children how to use a gun.

     

    Really? When I was a kid i always thought it was point and click, huh mustve missed something before i played video games...

    Dont blame SOE. Its really not their fault. Blame international laws. They just have to cover their own A$$. You can guarantee that the youngsters will be allowed to play retail. Thats one of SOE's biggest markets. Sucks for us 30somethings i know, but whatchagonnado image

    Also Verant was bought by and is wholey owned by SOE. They bought the name years ago.They were original designers of EQL. None of which (i believe) are even at SOE any longer. Most if not all of them are now here  http://www.vanguardsoh.com/index.php . image

    That and they have an NDA :P.

    Anyway, you know that they will have a European beta, so no use in being mad.

    they are doing a europe beta like horizons (i think) and that would be great because then there are no problems with time differences and we all play with a good community, only shame is that a lot of french and german only wanna speak french and german.

    Hogwash!SoE just playing games since the offical site sign up did let in players from all over the world.Also they are letting in nearly all legends players which is 40% european.So there is no european beta .Europeans will be in beta 1 just the ones paying premium paying ones lol.
