MMORPG Terminology?

So a friend came up to me and asked me "What do you call your secondary characters in an MMORPG?" -- apparently there is some term he was trying to remember, but for the life of me I wasn't sure what he was going after. Is there a term for 'support/back up/secondary' characters?

"Main"- your main character.
"Alt"- an alternate character, normally the lower level character or the one not played as often.
"Mule"- an alt used purely for storage.
"Box"- an alternate character on a second account, allowing you to play it at the same time as your main.

twink, since your main is always your main, and an "alt" would be an alternate one but as important, while a twink is mainly that... a twink you do to get to play something different, but emphasize stays on your main
Edit: also "toon" is used for any and all characters, its the same as "char", just more... british ? i think i mostly heard it on UK servers

Actually, a 'Twink' is any character boosted by Uber Gear that is way beyond that character's ability to acqire through normal gameplay :
* Gear/Coin sent by other character owned by player himself
* Gear/Coin sent by other character owned by some other player
* Gear/Coin aquired by buying items / coin from 'E-Bay' or Gold-Seller Sites

If it were AO you would be correct. However the word 'Twink' has carried over into other games, such as WoW for example. In WoW gear is limited by level, so you cannot go above a characters ability, you can only provide the best possible available for that char. Just like many things in the english language, words have to be adapted.* Gear/Coin sent by other character owned by some other player

Twink = Uber Toon.
Regardless of where the resources came from to acquire the goods.

my main i refer to as my "main"
my alt i refer to as my "alt" - which incidently is a twink (but you never refer to YOUR alt as a twink, just everyone elses)
unless that particular alt is a mule - then i refer to it as my "mule" and will call him it something stupid like "Donkey" or "Dealer" if i use it to buy / sell gear in secret
all are toons or chars
