I guess I can research the prices on my own, but I am resubbing more than likely in about a week, but I don't have CoV. I was wandering if I should just buy CoV or buy the new combo-pack they came out with?
Research shows that buying the Good vrs Evil pack will save me about $5, because it would cost me $19.99 for CoV plus $15 to reactivate my Heroes account. And I get the in-game items with the Good vrs Evil pack.

Something about that doesn't sound right so I just want to make sure you understand. It's the same account for both, just with different access options. So you wouldn't have to "buy CoV plus reactivate." Once you've bought CoV, being active for one is the same as being active for the other.
Without checking the prices myself, I infer that you've found CoV for $20 and GvE for $30. Since you already own CoH, either would get you CoV access as well. And either come with a free month. The only difference is GvE comes with goodies. Off the top of my head, I believe these are a Jump Jet power, a Pocket D teleport power, some costume parts, and a paper map of the rogue islands / paragon city. That's what the extra $10 gets you. And coincidentally enough, all of the ingame GvE items are available for purchase online for $10.
So if you don't care about the bonuses, buy CoV for $20 and upgrade your existing CoH account. You will get a free month, and immediately and forever have access to both sides, with $15/month going forward to keep both sides open.
My question about the combo pack is that it listed two bonuses: a jetpack and an item (?) that allows you to transport your hero (and villain?) to the Pocket D club. I have the clients for both COH and COV already, but I have not played for awhile. Im curious how useful the two items are, especially the Pocket D one. Is it similiar to the "hearthstones" of WoW, that simply teleport you back to the club, or is it different?
Im curious as it would only be an extra 5 dollars to buy the combo pack and get a "free" month of both games. Thanks in advance for any information you all can shed on this for me ;-)

the pocket d thing is like a hearth stone(but it's an ability) that teleports you to pocket d (then you have to get yourself back wherever you were.. O_o), if pocket d is your kinda thing. the jump pack or jet pack is good for new toons, for toons that already have a faster means of travel i can see if being pretty pointless. it has a pretty short duration and a very long recharge, and when you land you're usually left with very little health and in the middle of a group of orange mobs

If you do want those bonuses, GvE is for you.
Would it be better to get the GvE if I only have the trial?
The exception would be if you have accessed to underpriced boxes for both CoH and CoV separately (they've sometimes been found for $5 each). But I understand even GvE has dropped in price a bit, and the older boxes are harder to find on clearance now, so getting both in one box plus the bonus items is the best bet.

I don't actually have the bonus items and it's never bothered me. But some people swear by the jump pack, and I can see how it would be handy for Super Speeders especially. And I admit there are times when I wish I had the Pocket D teleporter a little - like when I'm in the back of Crey's Folly and need to go to Founder Falls.
However, with i9 comes the opportunity for a "Consignment House Teleporter", which may be close enough. It'll drop you at any of the Wentworth's or Black Market trucks.
