how come so many people...

refer to practically EVERY SINGLE GAME as either "diablo-esque" or some form of "diablo clone" and the sorts...

it just dawned on me today when some kid was saying Lineage 2 was a diablo clone to me... i was like "dude ur an idiot"... they dont even smell the same let alone play alike...

its not just that though... practically every game u will find a kid out there who says "ya its like diablo"...

im sure many of u know what im talking about...

anyways i just noticed that today and i had to say something about it image

no matter where u come from... no matter where u are now... no matter where ur going... its all about the EXP

    Kids these days don't say:

    "It's like Dungeons and Dragons"

    because they have never played it and don't know what it is :)

    When people say "It's like Diablo" many of them are just referring to "swords and sorcery" and not the play style.

    well to be fair, all games that I have ever bought or let alone seen have all "smelled" the same.  I mean come on, it is only plastic and stuff.  But in all seriousness, I agree with you, most games are considered to be in the style of Diablo

    Um, so most games are isometric hack and slash with 2000ish graphics ? Err, no, there's a little more variety than that.  Video games have been around a lot longer than Diablo 2, and will be around long after its forgotten. It's called perspective. . .

    Gnarled what are u talking about... thats not what he was saying at all...

    he was simply agreeing with me that no matter which game u seem to be playing, theres always kids out there who will say "its just a diablo clone"...

    no matter where u come from... no matter where u are now... no matter where ur going... its all about the EXP
