What an amazing difference

in Lord of the Rings Online

I just can't believe the difference of forums for LOTRO first day as compared to many other recent  games first day.

It really is amazing how much a little effort on the devs part to release a clean, playable game can mean on word of mouth.

Sure there are a few trolls, but they just aren't getting any support.

I can't wait to see how the LOTRO forums roll over the next few days.

    I am fired up! I bought the pre-order at my local Gamestop last night. It took overnight to download everything. I cannot wait to get off of work!!!

    There will always be flamers, that's the way it is. I suppose that with time the forums will be filled up with trolls if the game gets popular. Hopefully it will not be filled up, but it probably will...

    It really isn't the first day of retail. It is the first day of preorder beta. I know I'm splitting hairs.

    Except for a few bad puns about Minstrels, the forums are pretty decent.

    I have been playing  LOTRO since Sept.

    I was lucky enough to win a spot in closed beta thanks to MMORPG.COM (best MMO website)....



    Anyway, I was impressed with the forums today, also. I was also impressed with the launch of preorder beta today.

    I had a little lag in Archet, but nothing like what I have seen in game before. While this isn't retail, I am very pleased.

    Me and my friend got to level 8 before we took a break. We both already have level 4 alts too.

    I think we can expect retail release to go pretty smooth. There will always be some lag when you have all the players in one spot, but

    compared to past MMORPGs that I've played at release, this will be smooth.



    I am sure there will a few people bashing it, but for the common folk, we have a winner.

    Lord of The Rings Online has been my favorite games of the 21st century. They design and art of the game is awesome, meaning it runs great on my p.c. and it has a very clean polished look.



    Also recomand turning on your eax sound card feature and adding just a tad of reverb, omg it sounds so fracking sweet

    I think I'll be staying away from the General boards and sticking to my server thread.  Fewer trolls there because they lack the audience.

    First impression is everything, and it seems like a lot of people are satisfied with this game at this stage.  It is good to hear so much enthusiasm. :)
